I give highest marks to appearance, balance, ergonomics, ease of cleaning and quality. This is actually an amazing quality knife for the price. I’m a home cook and this does absolutely everything I need it to do. I’d highly recommend the knife. It’s advertised as “razor” sharp. Yes, it is very sharp and has easily cut everything I’ve used it for but to say it’s as sharp as a razor is a bit of a stretch. That’s not a negative, just a bit of a stretch. You won’t regret the purchase.

Excellent knife - medium size, very sharp blade, and the weight is well-balanced and easy to control. The handle is also very comfortable and fits my medium size hand well. The knife looks well-made and I expect this will last a long time. This really is the ideal all-around knife for everyday use. Highly recommended.

The handle feels and fits my large hands nicely. This is a lighter-weight knife than my 11-inch Santoku, and because of its size, it is easier to maneuver. I like a kitchen knife that is just slightly tip-heavy, and this one is; it is a little more than a suggestion, but sufficient to keep the tip of the blade pointed towards what is being cut. I like the blade width and thickness; both aid in smooth cutting rather than creating drag. I was preparing a meal when this arrived, so I washed and dried it and put it to work. I was able to compare it to my more expensive and larger Santoku right then. The only difference between them was the amount of drag as I cut through the meat. A good purchase for me.

I purchased this cleaver for my soon-to-be son-in-law for Christmas because he is an avid barbecuer. He's really good at it too! He'd been saying that the cleaver he had was just not right for processing a lot of barbecue. Well, I'm here to tell you that he was overjoyed to get this big, heavy cleaver and said it was just exactly what he was wanting. Yay!
