LassoTag iBeacon – Dark Blue: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Tracking Beacon making Valuables Smarter for iOS / iPhone / iPod / iPad.

Sometimes its non responsive right next to the iphone. i have to close the app and re-open. The tag doesn't show up as being in range. Range is poor, but that is a limitation of bluetooth. Map occasionally is not all that accurate. Temperature feature is of questionable usefulness. This device has not alleviated my main worry about losing my keys living alone, and there is an extra charge for different types of alerts after 30 days. Devices which require a monthly or yearly maintenance payment are extortion as you never own the device but merely rent it services, Not sure how long battery will last yet, and what that cost will be over an entire year.Nice idea, reasonable price, other choices available. Might just need to wait a bit and see how the market shakes with TILE, and DUET, etc.

I took advantage of the LassoTag promotion and bought all 7 colors as Christmas gifts. They were the perfect stocking stuffer. Packaging was minimal and the instructions were virtual. I didn’t mind and my family/friends didn’t have any issues figuring it out. No need to destroy a rainforest.Product is very sturdy and made of good quality. Almost too sturdy. It was a bit difficult opening up the tag to remove the safety tab.The application is intuitive and set up was easy. It took a bit longer to connect than I would have liked, but once connected it works like a champ. I bought the Notification Service for my own personal use since I sometimes don’t hear/see the alert on the phone. The text message and phone call has saved by bacon a couple of times now.The LassoTag has a bunch of good uses. My son is using it to track his kids. My sister travels a lot so she is using it to make sure her luggage gets on the plane. And my neighbor stuck his on his deck to use as an external thermometer.

We tried this product after discovering that our Tiles could not get new batteries but had to be entirely replaced annually. The size of the unit is much better and the battery is replaceable. The good news stops there! While installing the app from the app store I began getting dating site ads and later starting getting spam text messages after entering my phone number. I was also surprised to discover there is a fee associated with the service (should have read the reviews more carefully before buying). The worst thing beyond those irritations is that the phone begins to ding me about separation from my keys when they are more than 12 feet apart, i.e. when my keys are on the key rack and my phone is one room away in the kitchen. The system also lacks geofencing, is incapable of sounding a chirp to locate a misplaced tag, can't pair to multiple phones and has a terrible locator tool. It does tell the battery condition and temperature of the tag while its lost under your couch cushions. This goes back!

In the short time that I've owned this I've already lost my keys twice and loved how easy it was to find them with the LassoTag. I don't normally keep bluetooth turned on for my phone to save battery life, but when I lost my keys and turned bluetooth back on to find them, my phone quickly paired with the tag and made it easy to find them.The stickers are already starting to peel off it in just a few days of use, but they are just for looks anyway.

0ut of range isn't as far as I thought it would be .

I brought two Lasso as Christmas gift to my wife and daughter. These are junk and does not do as expected to locate lost item. The map is not scale with zoom feature to find the item and the item has to be within the blue tube range.

I ordered this as a Christmas present for my techy Mom. This was a terrible product and it did not work. When we received it, the battery was dead. This product was a bust and I guess you get what you pay for.
