If you're looking for a high-quality, affordable and practical replacement toilet seat, look no further. This one is exceptional (and I've fitted a fair few toilet seats in my time!) From the get-go, it's well packaged and comes with clear instructions and high-quality fittings for both top and bottom installation. The single push-button hinge release makes removing the seat for ease of cleaning a doddle. It's sturdy and comfortable in use and it's soft close is smooth and steady, perfect for protecting the fingers of any small people in your household. By which I mean children, of course... not vertically challenged adults. For bottom fitting, pop the metal screw down through the plastic base, pop the plastic washer onto the screw on the underside of the pan and secure it in place with the plastic nut. Do it up finger tight but don't use a screwdriver just yet... the seat will need some adjustment. Got both bases installed? Great. Now pop the toilet seat onto the metaal pins, close it, and adjust it (and the brackets) so that they're in the correct position, even on both sides. Take your time with this. Both bases will rotate and slide back and forth to allow for perfect positioning. Now do the plastic nuts up as tight as you can by hand, press the hinge release button and CAREFULLY lift the toilet seat back off. Hold on to each plastic nut in turn and use a screwdriver to firmly tighten the screws. Don't go mad with this... the screws are secured by plastic nuts and if you put immense torque through them, they're likely to break or thread. Now, pop on the metal covers to hide the fittings and fit the toilet seat back on to the bases. It takes literally five minutes to install and nobody will ever suspect it's an affordable DIY job. As with any plastic toilet seat, use hot soapy water to clean it (and the fittings) and NEVER harsh chemicals such as bleach as this can weaken the plastic and even make it brittle. Can't recommend this seat enough. For such a mundane item, it's a touch of class!

I bought this seat as I needed a low cost replacement for one that had broken. This has done exactly what was required. It feels like it's of decent quality, although not as sturdy or heavy duty as the original seat. However, it's what I'd expect for under £20 and still represents good value. I found it easy to fit ( less than 10mins), and I'm not blessed with DIY talent. The push button removal is a nice feature to help with cleaning and hygiene. It looks good wih a smooth, quiet slow close mechanism. Delivered quickly and I'd recommend for the price.

We needed a replacement seat in our garden WC, in that unique 1970s colour: Avocado. The toilet also has a low cistern rather than close-coupled. Most of these toilets are now in land-fill or museums, but we have one still in use. It is the only one of our WCs without soft-close, and as such, is regularly dropped onto the bowl. Sage is not Avocado, but it is close. The colour is very even and the seat itself is nicely finished. This seat comes with fittings to permit use with single sided bolts, and through bowl bolts. The component parts are well made and substantial, and the metalwork will not rust or rot. It is very easy to fit, the threads are machined for easy adjustment, the seat removal button works easily and removal requires no force. All in, this is a very good seat that exceeds expectations, and for the price is incredibly good.

I have used this toilet seat cover for over 6 months and I am really impressed with it as it fits my toilet seat very well. The material feels sturdy, durable and easy to clean. The instruction for installation that came with it was very easy to follow and I was able to complete the process in less than 15 minutes. Also, I love the seat can be removed making it much easier for me to properly clean the toilet. Finally the fact that it came with soft and slow close function is like an icing on a cake.

This toilet seat is sturdy and well made. Easy to clean and remove. The smooth close is a game changer, no more slamming! However the big minus is the fixings. Even though I tightened it with a power driver, the seat keeps moving on the universal fittings. They're not loose, it's the locking hinge posts, because they're adjustable, even with a rubber coating they move, causing the seat to slide. I used BEMIS seats before and I'm going back to them as their fixings don't move. Shame because the seat was perfect apart from this.

Fantastic toilet seat. Looks really good quality, looks way more expensive than it was, super easy to fit. It's really stable doesn't move at all, easy instructions, easy to adjust, easy to take off and clean (great of u have boys) would definitely buy again

Great quality toilet seat. Includes fixings for both top and bottom fixing. Top fixing is great if you don’t want to roll around under the bowl to affix it, making it nice and easy fit. The fixings are also rubber lined so they stay where they’re put. It’s also easy to adjust due to the fact the toilet seat can be detached from the hinges! Soft close hinges are a nice touch. I have deducted a star only because the lid is very easy to scratch when wiping or cleaning, even using a soft cloth. All in all, easy to install, nice and sturdy, but easy to mark and scratch.
