This is my ‘go to’ fertilizer for the plant babies. - I have used Osmocote for years for all my potted plants, flowers and outdoor container garden veggies. The results are always stellar with good root growth, plenty of dense foliage and consistently good production of flowers and vegetables. I use when planting and top off the containers a few times each season because I do a lot of watering. It is easy to apply and lasts a good long time and seems to work well for a wide variety of annuals and some smaller perennials. It is pretty forgiving, even when I accidentally over apply, but of course different types of plants might be more tolerant than others, so follow the directions as closely as you can. Happy plants., happy me. Review: Keeping up the the Jones's! - Several of my neighbors' flower beds always looked so much better than mine. Same sunshine, same soil, same rain, same flowers (SunPatiens). Theirs were flourishing; mine were barely surviving. I finally found out their secret. This is it! Yes, it works and this past summer, my flower bed looked as good as theirs. I also used it on some shrubs that were almost sickly; within a month or two, they were so much healthier. This is easy to use; just sprinkle it on the soil of your indoor and outdoor plants. (Of course read all directions first!) Happy Gardening! ## Features - Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Indoor & Outdoor is fortified with 11 essential nutrients - This plant food feeds plants for up to 6 months with all-in-one granules, each containing 15-9-12 NPK and secondary nutrients - For indoor and outdoor plants, this all-purpose plant food works with virtually all plant types and growing conditions, including containers and in-ground gardens - To apply to outdoor container and in-ground plants, sprinkle 1 capful per 1 gal. pot or 4 sq. ft. of garden area and mix into the top 1-3 inches of soil; water regularly and reapply every 6 months - One 2 lb. container of Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Indoor & Outdoor feeds approximately 75 sq. ft. of garden area ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0071CZTK6 | | Application Method | Sprinkle | | Best Sellers Rank | #168,760 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #2,617 in Garden Fertilizers | | Brand | Osmocote | | Coverage | Full | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 5,791 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 6 months | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00032247742504, 00799331660556 | | Item Form | Granules | | Item Type Name | Outdoor & Indoor | | Item Weight | 2.2 pounds | | Liquid Volume | 2 liters | | Manufacturer | The Scotts Company LLC | | Mixing Ratio | 1:19 | | Model Number | 274250 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 274250 | | Specific Uses For Product | Plant Food | | Target Species | Plants | | UPC | 370114691334 799331660556 032247274258 032247742504 | | Unit Count | 32 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Osmocote - **Item Form:** Granules - **Item Weight:** 2.2 pounds - **Liquid Volume:** 2 liters - **Specific Uses For Product:** Plant Food ## Images ![Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71irpes16-L.jpg) ![Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EuqYPYKBL.jpg) ![Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71awC1t+fDL.jpg) ![Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71+P-GaeTSL.jpg) ![Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71p5mignwSL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What are the n-p-k numbers. Happy Gardening! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easiest and works well *by E***E on July 18, 2022* I have been using Osmocote for years. I was first put onto it when it was recommended by my local orchid society. (Though they said to go lightly as it can burn seedlings). Since I had it around for my orchids I have been using it on vegetables in raised beds and (large) planters. I tried another fertilizer last year (miracle grow organic) and can not say I saw a real difference, and the Osmocote is much easier to use, to get the correct amount. This year I tried a third and have used each in a different bed, and... well the Osmocote still seems to work as well as either of the others, feeds for longer and so is a real time saver. {It makes a differnce when your garden is an acre and you are maintaining it alone ;) ## Frequently Bought Together - Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Plus Outdoor and Indoor, For Most Plant Types, In-Ground and Container Plants, Contains 11 Essential Nutrients, 2 lb. - Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food, Fertilizer for Indoor or Outdoor Flowers, Vegetables or Trees, 3 lbs. - Scotts Rose & Bloom Continuous Release Plant Food, 3 lb --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/7764473-osmocote-smart-release-plant-food-plus-outdoor-and-indoor-most](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/7764473-osmocote-smart-release-plant-food-plus-outdoor-and-indoor-most) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
