Digital Watch Mens, Waterproof Sport Wristwatch, Referee Stopwatch

As a soccer referee, I always wear two watches—one counting down and one counting up. This CakCity works great as my count-up timer. The oversized dial is big and easy to read at a glance. The stopwatch is simple to use, and it handles rain and everyday wear well. Best of all, I can buy three of these for the price of one of my usual watches—excellent value!

I can't believe I'm writing this review, but I owe it to the world to be honest about something like this. I considered getting an Apple Watch. I considered getting a Fit Bit, and ultimately, I decided to get THIS instead. I considered the Fit Bit because of the Health Craze, and I considered the Apple Watch because in a former life I was a gadget freak and it's trendy to buy useless gadgets that complicate your life these days. But then I had a revelation: I don't like gadgets anymore (I've outgrown them). I HATE things that complicate my life. I wanted a watch REALLY because I wanted to SIMPLIFY my life. Pulling my phone out every time I wanted to know the time was stressing me out (my job is stressful enough without doing that every 20 minutes or so). The whole POINT of a watch is that I can leave my phone in my desk, or even at home when I don't want to be called or texted, and still know what time it is so I can make appointments. But enough about me, what about the watch? This watch does not count your steps. It does not tell you weather. It does not tell you the time in other countries or other time zones. What it does though, it does extremely well. It tells the dang time without having to read watch hands. Without having to wind. Without having to CHARGE the dang thing every night (seriously, I kept thinking about "plugging it in" and kept realizing I DON'T HAVE TO!!!). It tells you the day of the week, the day of the month, the time in 12 hour increments, and counts seconds. It also has a night glow feature that's super easy to use, and features a stopwatch and an alarm (The other reviewers are mistaken, you do NOT have to go through the time change to get back to the regular clock. Simply press the "reset" button, then press Mode and you'll jump back to the main Clock). There is a manual included, but operation is so simple you could figure it out by simply try each of the four buttons in the only four modes you have (clock, stop-watch, alarm, time set). The watch was a tiny bit long when I got it and I was able to cut the end off with a pair of scissors. And yet... the watch is incredibly comfortable, and the numbers are big and easy on the eyes even for my tired eyes, and it's dead simple to use. In other words, this watch is perfect. I've tried a gazillion wrist-watches over the years and never liked them. Hilariously I love this one, because it only does three things but does them WELL. I have no need for an alarm function right now (prefer an alarm clock and sleeping without the watch on), but the stop-watch will come in handy, and the clock is perfect for my needs. I absolutely love it and it's a pleasure to use every day. And perhaps best of all, if it ever breaks I can buy TEN of these for the price of a decent Fit Bit, and THIRTY of these for the price of an Apple Watch. I don't have to charge it, and if someone steals it I'll laugh my head off. People can laugh at me wearing a ten dollar watch, and I'll laugh at them wearing super-expensive watches that are difficult to tell the time on and will cause them to have a panic attack if they get scratched, dropped, or stolen. This is the perfect watch for me. No going back. I'd wear it even if I was a billionaire.

I bought this watch for a friend who is visually impaired due to retinitis pigmentosa. He had complained to me that he could no longer see any of his watches. I liked that this watch has nice big digits that look easy to read. I was a little concerned that the black numbers are on a dark gray background . I didn't know if the lack of contrast would be a problem. Happily, it was not a problem for him. He likes the watch very much, he says it is easy to put on and easy to read. The band is what I think makes it easy to put on . The watch didn't arrive in a flat box as watches often do,as the band is permanently curved. I tried it on myself (with my eyes closed) and found that I didn't have to grope for the two sides of the band , and it was fairly easy for me to buckle because it has nice wide slots . I took off one star because of the low contrast, and because one needs to employ three different buttons to set it. I set it for him but I don't think he'll be able to change the time himself. The positive side to that is that I suppose that if he hits a wrong button while groping for the light, he probably won't accidentally , say, set the alarm, because there are a number of steps to do that. Ultimately this is a nice watch and a very good value.

Love this watch. This is the most practical watch I have ever owned!..and I have had many dozens of watches in my life. This watch just gets right to the point and DOES exactly what I Need a watch to DO and it does it much better then watches I have owned that I paid much more for in the past. This watch is Rugged, durable, Inexpensive, very easy to read... and being easy to read for me is one of the best things about this watch. I do not like watches were the numbers are pale or hard to see or the surface is so shiny you cant make it out unless you look close or have to move it around in certain light until you can see what it actually says. NOPE no fuss with that with this watch. You can just look and see exactly what you need right here right Now.... no fuss, no hassle and its simplified. Just has what I need. Front face > TIME big in bold > also day and date right there. Thats it on the first glance... not cluttered with useless info I don't need. Some watches add all kinds of stuff on the face that I dont need and that clutter makes it hard to see the stuff I do need. Not this watch..... this was gives me what I need a watch to give me on one quick glance Time, Day and Date. Also has an alarm that's easy to set and a stop watch that is easy to use and comes in handy. I love this watch and I think I will buy a couple more to give as gifts to people. Also this watch is rugged and well designed well and comfortable on my wrist. I like the way it looks too. I like this watch much more than watches I have spent 4 times the amount of money to purchase. This is a great buy.

I use this watch purely for fitness/working out to times CrossFit style works and rest intervals. I am one of those odd people who love technology but haven't invested in an apple watch or other fitness watch. Due to this, my main use is the timer function. This watch is great! The size is good for readability and I like how the hour mark moves up to the right hand corner. The night time function is also quite bright but I rarely used it. I had the previously version of this watch too, and it failed when the band broke away from the face. They have reinforced that area on this version, so I don't think that will be an issue anymore. I am 6' 2", 225 with average size wrists and I go to the 4th notch on the band to secure it. If you have very thick/large wrists it may be an issue. I also wear this watch with the face on the inside of my wrist to help avoid pushing buttons while doing exercises. It works well for me and fits nicely. If you are looking for an easy to read, inexpensive workout watch, I highly recommend this one. I plan to get many years of use out of it.

I like this watch because it was inexpensive and seemingly rugged... I always wear what I call a "combat watch", one that I don't have to take care of. The band on my old watch wore out and its more cost effective to simply replace the watch than to replace the band. I was, however, caught totally by surprise by the hulking size of this watch... it is huge! This is not necessarily a bad thing but, rather, was just unexpected. The display elements (and the entire display for that matter) are very large such that one certainly has no difficulty reading the digits--- lol, great for older eyes like mine, especially at night. The buttons are big too. I'm a bit unhappy with how thick the beast is but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Bottom line: this watch does what it is supposed to do for a very small price, seems well made and appears rugged. Just expect a LARGE watch when it arrives. UPDATE: After a couple of months I realize that I simply cannot get used to the enormous size of this watch! I'm a regular size guy and this thing is just too darned big. Since it was inexpensive and my choice, I'm just walking away from the watch and going back to my much smaller (ie, normal sized!) Casio that were out of stock when I ordered this beast.

Good product for the price

I needed a replacement for my women’s Armitron digital watch, which is still working, but not that easy to adjust when daylight savings time rolls around twice a year. Now that I’m moving into my late 60’s, seeing things close up has grown more difficult. I need to be able to see the time at a glance without having to squint, and this watch has a large face with a large and easy to read digital display. I don’t mind at all that it’s a men’s watch. To me it looks cool and sporty. And it’s so light, I forget I’m wearing it. For now, this CakCity watch gets 5 stars. I will wait several months and change my review if it winds up dying or malfunctioning prematurely.
