The bottle holder of the medium size can hold a bottle with 2.8 inches diameter. Large size's bottle holder can hold a a bottle with 3.15 inches diameter. It's drawstring closure so there's no height limit.

How long is the strap? Is the strap reversible?

Up to 40'', can be adjusted. Comfortable to carry all day with the ability to change hold. ONLY the large size sling bag's starp is reversible.

What does this sling backpack can hold?

This sling can basically hold umbrellas, purses, A5 notebooks, iPad mini, card holders, keys, and other small items, etc. Suitable for daily use.

How does the beverage pouch attach to this backpack?

There is a little strap that connects to the bag itself. The drink pouch is very sturdy. A standard but not too big bottle of water fits nice. The pouch itself can be removed if desired.

Is the water bottle holder detachable?

Yes, you can wear the sling bag without using the bottle holder.
