Ottomanson Living Room Area Rug – Non Slip Low Pile Carpet for Bedroom, Office & Family Room, 5' x 6'6", Checkered Multicolor

I have several of the Ottomanson rugs- I love them! Light weight, keep their shape, vacuum nice, flat and non slip… all the things that are important. Price is right too. I highly recommend this company.

So the situation: I have all wood flooring (some kind of laminate/engineered stuff) which looks nice enough but isn't always practical--this stuff scratches and even chips if you so much as blink at it and unlike real wood you can't buff it out and/or refinish (as far as I know). Add a couple of cats that are forever tracking bits of dirt into the house on their grubby little paws (they are indoor/outdoor pets)... then toss in an office chair with rollers into the mix... a chair I use all of the time and so of course the cats hang out around there too... I've waged a valiant war, but simply cannot keep the floor clean enough often enough to prevent the rollers on that chair from scratching mercilessly every time the chair is moved. Daily sweeping/mopping/vacuuming just hasn't cut it and the floor is now showing signs of wear in that spot because of it. Yikes! So I needed something very low pile and stable to lay down for protection--a sort of chair mat--yet also wanted it to match the drapes and general color scheme of the room instead of just slapping down some drab thing. This little rug has nailed it! The cats took to it immediately and very much enjoy napping on it, the chair rolls over top of it nicely, it vacuums up quickly and I haven't had to battle "wheel crunch" on my poor wood floor since acquiring it. Plus it simply fits perfectly as the colors look absolutely lovely--not only "pops" nicely against the wood floor (a medium oak) but also complement my existing décor. Am really hoping it holds up for a reasonable amount of time--so far (maybe a month of daily use?) it is doing fine. Definitely satisfied with this purchase!

It’s thinner that I thought and it doesn’t stay in place. But all and all it does the trick. My dog had an accident on it, and it didn’t seep through onto to the carpet, so that a bonus for durability. It looks good.

This rug is amazing. The color matches perfectly in my kitchen & it vacuums really well, it doesn't get sucked up & I vacuum it with a shark vacuum & my shark has a hard suction to it. I just put it on my lowest vacuum level setting. It's thick & durable & it stays in place & doesn't move while I vacuum. It's got a nice comfort feel to it. I'll be ordering another one for my hallway.

I love this rug! Bought it to make my apartment kitchen look more homey. It is a little thin, so I put a pad under it since I stand a lot in the kitchen. The colors are vibrant and it vacuums beautifully. I haven't had to wash it yet. And it goes great with the curtain to my pantry!

I bought this rug twice in different sizes and I noticed with the first rug that it was smaller than I expected but I liked the colors and the cheap price so I kept it and assumed I had the wrong measurements and so it wasn't a big deal. So it's been about a year and I wanted a runner rug and this was the first one that popped up and it was a bonus because it matched my first rug, but after I anxiously opened the rug up I noticed how small it was and I was immediately unhappy with my purchase because I wanted a regular runner rug and this is clearly a mini. I'm considering returning it which is to bad because I really wanted this rug and was looking forward to it but this company clearly has the price point set low because there giving you less fabric and I also noticed my new runner rug is thinner than my first one made by this same company. I just wanted to share my experience in hopes of saving someone their time rug shopping unless you want a thinner and smaller rug than usual.

I received this product yesterday. I am not sure how it will hold up but I must say, the quality seems great. I had been looking for a black and white checkered rug runner forever but none that I could find had the rubber on the back to keep it from sliding everywhere. Most were like blanket material that we probably would have hurt ourselves on from slipping and sliding in a high traffic area. This rug has the rubber backing and doesn't move an inch when walking on it. The price was great too and the measurements were spot on for what I was looking for. I'm not sure if I would wash it in the washing machine as I think that could ruin it. I am hoping it lasts and can just be spot cleaned when needed. I just ordered a smaller one for my front door because I was so impressed with what the quality seems. Like I said, I just got it yesterday so I can't really say how it will hold up but based on looks and the non slip rubber, I am highly impressed. If it stays together, I may get one for under my dining room table but I have to wait and see first how well thos one does. If you are looking for a farmhouse style black and white checkered rug that is not a blanketed death trap, I would recommend this one.

The carpet arrived promptly. Unfortunately, it was too dark to match my decor. (The bills are dark grey). The seller (ITEC CANADA) gave amazing customer service from start to finish! They answered all of my questions immediately and made the return process extremely easy. I would definitely buy from this seller again!
