Are these for 12v car ciggarette adapter male plugs, why does it say 250v instead of 12v though?

I think the 250v is just a typo error, it’s 250 pieces. They are for 12 volt systems. I use them for my old cars and trucks and in my RV’s.

I have a sherwood 1970's -7100 sterio reciever. the speaker fuses say 2.5amp on the caps but the fuses in them say 25a on them. which is right?

Well you asked the right person, I've owned a Sherwood, actually a few of them. It is 2.5 amp fuses, but if you got the one I think you have, you'll blow them every time once you go past the halfway point of the volume dial. Don't sweat it, it's just to keep you from blowing your speakers out. If your a music lover like me, I think you know how high you can go with the volume before that happens. Remember how old your stereo is, I have a Techniques 1984 stereo, separate dual cassette, with (2) 1995 Bose Speaker's, believe it or not, it's remote controlled and I still can't crank the volume all the way up without the Bose Speakers start to blap, which is very surprising to me. Anyhoot, this kit is awesome, the fuses are quality and you can't beat the assortment for the cost, heck I'll be handing it down to my Grandson and I'm only double nickels, but they haven't blown yet in the receiver fuse section for the speakers, on the motherboard it say's the same, 2.5 amp. I'm using a 10amp in mine. YOUR GOOD TO GO. 👍
