Vapor Apparel Women’s UPF 50+ UV Sun Protection Long Sleeve Performance Regular Fit T-Shirt for Sports and Outdoor

Size and fit: I am 5’9”, 136 pounds. I have long arms and have a hard time finding long sleeve clothing that fits. I bought a medium. It fits well and has 20” sleeves. (I actually would prefer one more inch, but it does fit better than most sleeves for me, and I just really like long, long sleeves.) It has a pretty fitted feel to it, so I could have gone up one size to make it a little loser or to fit over another shirt better if I was going to layer it. It fits okay over a tank top though. Sun protection and features: I walk and hike a lot, so I wanted this shirt to avoid sun damage and not have to always wear sunblock. It does come with labeling that indicates the fabric is spf 50 rated. I also live in a warm area, (SoCal - desert), so I wanted it to be cool while walking on a hot day. Today was 89 and sunny while I walked two miles in this shirt. It felt hotter than wearing a tank top or short sleeves, but not terrible. I thought it would be a little lighter feel. As far as wicking sweat, it did okay. I like that it has no tags on the neck, which makes it a comfortable feel. The fabric feels soft and is not see through. I washed in cold and hung to dry. Tag says: wash separately, cold, no bleach, tumble dry, no fabric softeners. Overall, a great shirt, and I love the gray color. I will likely purchase another one in a different color.

I have a Vapor sun shirt that I wear all the time and wanted to get another. I ordered both the slim fit and regular to see the difference. The bottom shirt in my pic (arctic blue) is slim fit size S, the middle (sea grass) is slim fit size XS, the top (pink blossom) is regular fit size XS. The slim fit is slimmer, it comes in at the waist, it's a little longer, and has longer sleeves (my biggest annoyance with my old shirt.) The regular fit is a little wider, doesn't come in at the waist, but still comes out a little at the hips, also has shorter sleeves. I think the regular would work well for someone curvy or with hips. I would say for the slim fit, order your normal size if you want it on the tighter size or as a rashguard, and size up for a little looser fit or if you want to wear it over something else. The regular fit is a lot less form fitting and I would say it fits true to size. The neckline on both looks nice and is feminine, but I do wish it was a little higher for more protection. I'll wear my shirt for many hours on hikes without sunscreen under and never have burning. They dry very quickly and if you get sweaty the wetness is not uncomfortable, it almost feels cooling. They do tend to pick up dirt easily. It gets stuck in the fabric and it doesn't tend to wash out. These are a ridiculously great value so I'll continue to buy them. If they added longer sleeves and some thumb loops they'd be perfect.

This is my second Vapor shirt. My first is a few years old and still wearing it. They fit rather loosely and are quite cool in even in the sun. Would love to see some new color offerings.

I am allergic to the sun and I'm looking for protective clothes. I decided to give this shirt a try and I'm glad I did! It is super comfortable and fits well. I think it's a nicer shirt than it appears to be in the pictures (I thought it looked kind of plain in the amazon pics). I am a size 4-6 so I usually buy small shirts, but I listened to the reviews and ordered a medium. It fits perfectly - I am very glad I ordered a size up! Out of the box I thought it looked like it was going to be too big for me, but it fits just right. Yesterday I wore this shirt with pants and a hat (with a ton of sunscreen on my hands and face) and spent time in the sun. I had NO reaction to the sun at all! This shirt kept my sun allergy at bay! I'm so excited, I need to buy this shirt in other colors. They're out of stock in more colors but I'm hoping they will get more in stock soon so that I can buy one in every color! The only "complaint" I have about it is that I need to be careful with which bras I wear with it - every little bump and texture can be seen through the shirt, but that's not a big deal in my opinion. Oh, and this shirt is not immune to cat claws. Be careful around cats because the littlest prick of a claw makes a big snag in the shirt! I very much recommend this shirt for people like me who are allergic to the sun. It's a comfortable long sleeved shirt that really helps and it isn't hot!

This shirt seems to be made nicely for the price and the material is appropriate for hiking. The sizing was way off, thought, and I could have worn an 2XS if it had been offered. I am 5'9" tall, 120 pounds and this fit me like a large.

I am delighted to have found this shirt on Amazon. I just ordered a couple of other colors (have the aqua color, just ordered white and pale pink). The price is unbeatable. I wear it as lounge wear, to take walks on a chilly day, and even to sleep in if I'm chilly. It's fairly light weight, which I like. So it's buildable. If you want a slight loose fit (still fitted, but not tight), order up a size. The sizing is consistent with the size chart on the site. It is fitted by not tight. If you want it a bit tight, order your regular size. I've had the first shirt for a while now - long enough its been through a few washes and it's held its color, shape, etc. I hang dry (not sure what the tag says to do, but give the light spandex, I don't like to put in dryer). The only minor issue I have had is some loose strings around the wrist area (hopefully not a sign of things to come). I just trimmed it and seems to be good as new. I can't speak to sun protection, but I like the concept and hope it works.

I bought this shirt in 2015, and have worn it nearly exclusively for every beach, boat, and swim excursion. I live in South Florida, and take my kids to the pool 3-5 times per week in the summer. I also wear it for kayaking, gardening, and lawn mowing. I can't believe how well this shirt has held up. After FOUR YEARS of chlorine, salt, sand, and sweat it still looks great. The fabric does not get that stretched-out elastic problem that ALL of my children's swim shirts get after only a single season. No pilling, no holes, no fading, no pit stains. And no, I'm not a laundry goddess. I don't wash or even rinse it after going in the pool. I can attest to the UPF abilities of this magic shirt. I have never had any sun damage under the fabric, only on my hands and neck where I forget to apply sunscreen. I bought 3 more of these shirts today, they really are magical. They keep me cool even in the extreme heat of a midday in Florida July weather. I can say that if the shirt is 100% wet I've even been cold, pushing that lawn mower. I wear a small, I'm 5'2 120 lbs and I like that it isn't snug on my baby belly. Skims the body in all the right places and none of the wrong ones!

I ordered this shirt and a Baleaf brand shirt. Both were good quality but I preferred the fit and lightness of this shirt - I prefer it to be a little lighter weight since I intend to wear it over a tank or cami instead of by itself. Like most sun shirts it approximates swimsuit or rashguard fabric. The product was accurately represented by the info on the seller's page. Sizing up is not a necessity but depends on how loosely you like to wear the shirt. I usually wear a dress size 4/size small but sized up to M, which would be OK if worn over other clothes or you like a looser fit. I am ordering a S in a different color to compare before I choose one to take to camp. Suggestion -- I wish it had thumb holes. PLEASE make one with thumb holes! I would buy 3 more!

Habe zwei Shirts in M bestellt (Perlgrau und Türkis/Mint). Ich trage sonst 38/40 und bin 1.77 groß und die Shirts passen gut. Einzig die Ärmel könnten etwas länger sein, jedoch schiebt man diese ja eh meistens hoch. Ich war mir erst nicht sicher welchen Grauton ich bestellen soll, aber Perlgrau sieht super aus. Ist ein sehr heller, kalter Grauton - eine gute Alternative zu weiß, da nicht ganz so empfindlich.

It is a nice light fabric and seems to be good for sun protection without being overly hot.
