Gamehide Flatland Deer Hunting Bib

My large friend had me buy these for him. He said he likes them. He needs the bright orange for hunting on Statelands. And, most importantly, the large sizes available are great.

Took this out for a deer hunting trip, they are a bit tight around the groin area but it’s not bad, the length is good the material isn’t super noisy but it’s not the quietest. The insulation isn’t bad but the leg openings are large enough to let some air in so when it’s windy it does get a little chilly. Overall not bad, still had a buck walk right up to me.

Very warm, quiet material, good fit and MN made. What more could you want?

We bought this for our grandson who was freezing when he wen hunting with his Papa this past year. He also froze when they tried to fish for Walleye on the AuSable. He was born and raised in a city so the poor 24 yr old had no idea what he needed. His experience of the cold was watching games from the bleachers. You can't get hot coffee, or chocolate in a deer blind. He was miserable. Since he has discovered hunting and fishing we are seeing much more of him and really want to encourage him coming up. Hence the Bibs. For those of you who hunt or fish there is no reason to explain why bibs are better. The only we could ask would be if they had some waterproofing, We want every time he goes out to be a memorable one but, not for freezing his bottom and legs off.

I bought these for my son as a Christmas present because he has outgrown his insulated camo outfit. I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box. The fabric is relatively quiet, so that's a plus. The leg zippers only come up about a quarter of the way from the bottom -- that could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. On one hand, less zipper probably means a little better insulating quality. On the other hand, by not having a zipper that extends from the waist to the bottom, it means getting anything out of your pants pockets underneath the bibs will be difficult.One definite negative is there is no way to tighten the bottoms of the legs. His previous bibs had a strap and button system that allowed him to tighten the leg bottoms somewhat to keep out cold air. Another feature that would have been nice is a pocket on the front of the bib. These only have a wallet pocket and two pockets on the front.As for the insulation, I can't really speak to that because he hasn't worn them yet. I purchased the bibs and matching coat for him and the coat design was poorly thought out. I guess I'll be giving these to him well before Christmas to see if he likes them or not. If not, the pair will be returned so I can buy something else for him.Also, check my review of the matching coat before you buy it. It has some issues.

This parka is great! Kept me warm and dry during the most recent Deer season. It was mixed snow and freezing rain. I was completely dry and warm. Perhaps one criticism is the material kind of sheds orange dust or fibers

I purchased the overalls to match the coat I bought last year. Makes a good set. Warm, comfortable and dry on those cold mornings. I would recommend this product.

Wow, the difference between these and my old fiber filled overalls is like night and day. I bought these with a Gamehide jacket and I'm impressed with both. These are nice and lightweight waterproof, and incredibly warm in moderately cold weather. In 10 degree weather with a pair of long johns and jeans I was comfortable sitting for 4 hours. If I had any complaint it would be that it the suspenders could be an inch or so longer for a better fit in the backside for a tall person. Thumbs up to Gamehide.
