What are the dimensions of the grilling plates inside the sandwich maker ?

I did not measure it but it can make four jumbo grill sandwiches at once with a little adjustment

Does it close completely when vegetables or chicken or sandwiches inside or is there a gap between the two plates with vegetable inside?

There is no gap available in between the cooking plates (top & Bottom) while closing it. When cooking the food or sandwich, the top plate stay over the food material and cooks completely . No need to close/lock the top cooking plate .
