Zingo is bingo and "snap" together in one. Each player is given a card with 9 pictures on it. A dealer slides a mechanism and two tiles pop out of a plastic box. The first individual to match the tiles to their card claims the appropriate tile. Play continues until someone covers the entire card or creates a previous agreed upon pattern (four corners, three in a row, etc.) Durability: the tiles are a hard plastic, the dealing mechanism is also a hard plastic with no tiny mechanical parts. I expect these to last a long time. The cards are roughly 5X7 and are a thick cardboard, so as long as they are not exposed to liquid, should be fine for years to come. The only thing is that the tiles need a little bit of a strong push to be placed back in their holder. This could be an issue for younger kids; however I don't expect any breakage due to the extra force that is needed. Level: this is for young kids. Our oldest of four kids is 6, and he loves to play this game. However, his younger brother, who is only 2 1/2, caught on quickly to the concept and was able to start matching tiles to his card within 2-3 rounds of the game. Time: The games can be completely fairly quickly. We finished games anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes. This is good with the young kids because they like clearing their cards and starting over. Educational: This game can help with matching, recognition, memory and, eventually, word recognition (each picture, whether it is on the card or the tile, also has a word underneath it.) Price: Best price was on Amazon that I could find. Overall: A fun, family-friendly game for young players. Wouldn't recommend for anyone older than 10 (and that is pushing it a little bit). Box and pieces are sturdy. If taken care of it, it will last a long time.

Es basicamente un bingo pero con palabras. Hay dos niveles de juego, aunque son muy parecidos. Es de plástico duró tanto el dispensador como las fichas. Los cartones son de cartón duro plastificado de buena calidad. Ayuda a los niños a aprender palabras sencillas en inglés y a coger agilidad con el idioma. También se puede jugar en español por la sencillez de las imágenes. Me parece perfecto para jugar con niños de 3 años en adelante.

My kids are 3 and 5....and they absolutely loved this game! I've had this game for over a month now, and they ask to play it a couple times a week (if they happen to see the game lying around). They can play this for usually an hour of engaged play. We've also played with an 8 year old, who enjoyed it as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this game. How the game is played: - The gist of the game is exactly like Bingo - fill up your card to win. - Two yellow tiles are dispensed out of the red container - Tiles have a picture on them so little ones can still identify the tile. The word is also spelled out too, to help picture-word association. - If you see a tile that is also on your card, you yell it out & place it over the matching one on your card - If no one has a match, the tiles are placed back into the dispenser via a slot. - If you fill up your card (or various other patterns depending on what you decide at the outset of play), you win! PROS: - All the pieces are made of durable material (tiles are thick plastic, cards are laminated, red tile dispenser is also built to last) - Two levels of play - green side of cards have less pictures in common so is better suited for younger plays. Red side of cards have more pictures in common & thus more challenging as speed & hand/eye coordination is an element to winning the game. - Easy concept for young kids to master CONS: - None
