The ice machines work great but the set up and breakdown is sometimes a pain. As soon as I receive this freeze sleeve, I stuck it in the freezer and waited the two hours recommended. The first thing I noticed when I put it on was how absolutely cold it is. The next thing was the nice tight fitting compression. To help with the initial shock of the cold I found that a very light pair of joggers works well. I use everything from the gel packs to bags of ice frozen bottles of water, frozen bags of ice to help with swelling and pain. This is great to have in the freezer ready to go to provide maximum cold and compression to my knee and elbow. I have also used it folded over to place under my neck which has also worked out great.
