Fantastic for hair dryer.
I made the mistake of asking a family member to buy me a hair dryer from america as it’s been on my wishlist for a while and the colour I love was limited addition and not available in the uk. Didn’t factor in that the voltage would be different. I was a bit worried and skeptical as usually voltage converters don’t have high wattage but it really does work! My hairdryer has not experienced any faults which was my main worry. I’m yet to take it abroad with me into the eu but i’m sure that it’ll work just as fine as it does now. It does have a little bit of weight to it but really nothing crazy. Definitely worth the money especially as I couldn’t return the hair dryer.

Great step-down voltage converter. I used it to drive a Crown Class A/B 800-watt amp. I didn’t have any issues until I powered down the unit and something happened that broke it. Yang from HYTED support was a big help; he sent a replacement unit via express delivery. I suspect that if you use this transformer to power an audio amp, it’s best to make sure your whole power chain is grounded. The replacement unit has been working flawlessly, and I would not hesitate to buy it again. Great value for the money—the size and form factor can’t be beat.

I bought this voltage converter specifically for a trip to Europe after reading everywhere that U.S. Dyson hair dryers do not work overseas—even with adapters. I was honestly skeptical, but this converter works flawlessly. I used it with my American Dyson hair dryer on European electricity, and it performed exactly the same as at home: full power, no overheating, no strange noises, and no shutdowns. I used it daily throughout my trip with zero issues. If you’re traveling to Europe and don’t want to give up your Dyson (or risk frying it), this converter actually does what it promises. Very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it.

Works as expected for my 110v 800w Ninja Swirl. It has a fan inside so expect a cpu fan noise when it’s turned on. It’s lightweight and relatively small sized for its kind.

I bought this to power my US purchased Blu-ray player and AV receiver for use in Poland. It was originally going to be used to power my son's computer, but discovered it can plug into the 240V outlet. So far it has worked flawless. The 2 devices don't really draw a lot of power, but I understand it's better to have more capacity available than what is being used. Some very soft fan noise, but really not a concern since the receiver is playing movie or streaming sound.

After my converter died suddenly, I reached out to the company via email, and they offered to send me a brand new one and even covered the shipping fee! I have a couple of these and am very happy with them. They run quiet and I use 1 for continuous power of my 2 dell monitors (45w each), a MacBook (85w) and a desk lamp (5w). I have another running a printer I brought when we moved overseas. if you have any issues just email the support address on the back of the device (it took me a while to find that)
