Can you use the wii Rapala fishing rod for this game?

Not really, the movements are different.

How do you get the biggest fishing rod in the game?

Go to the hotel room computer screen and click awards. Choose miraculous. There's a #27 Fishing legend. If you haven't caught all those fish it won't give you the name of the award, but will list them. Black carp, grass carp, bighead carp and silver carp. These are all caught at Tidur river. Two are caught on Northern river upstream to the left of waterfall in the water around the huge rock and right before waterfall on the right by the trees. The other two are caught on Northern River downstream all the way to the end by the rocks and in the water with grass.

Do you have to have a fishing rod to play?

The game we have came with a rod that holds the remote and nunchuck so you can have the reeling motion for fishing. With that said, you can successfully play the game without the rod, you still need the nunchuck attached just make the circular motion needed

how do you make this a 2 or more player game?

I don't believe you can play two players at once. You can set up different mii players and play at different times. The game stores the info for each player.
