Beautifully crafted walking stick in a style of the old country, an ideal introduction to using a cane. Well made and helpful in assisting in mobility, especially if you are not ready to step up to the larger rubber tipped cane. While it may not be as safe and sturdy as a full cane, it is a stylish companion for getting around. Nearly a year into use, a few spots of the black painted bark is chipping and may need a touchup soon. The copper pipe tip may not be ideal for fine wood floors, but is very durable.

I ordered this for a Christmas gift and had to send it RIGHT back. It came in a timely manner and when I contacted the seller, I did get a prompt refund. Those are the pluses. When the item arrived, it was a painted stick. It was sticky because the black paint was still wet, and it had pieces of newspaper stuck to the wet paint - I'm guessing it was placed on newspaper to dry after it was painted. It wasn't very sturdy either. I was very disappointed. I stumbled across a much nicer, stronger walking stick at a local store for more than half the price. Again the seller was prompt in shipping and very prompt in giving my refund with no BS.

Wonderful item but the price should include a rubber foot for secure contact with the ground. I ordered footings shown as "customers also bought..." thinking the would fit the stick. They dont! Beware of that issue.

Nice gentleman cane. Nice looking and easy hold handle is perfect. We did need to add a rubber stop on the bottom to increase balance.

The shillelagh looks great. Very sturdy. I love the feel of the burl handle in my hand. I had to buy a rubber tip to prevent it from slipping on hardwood flooring.

It is very nice but did not like that I could not choose the handle style. I would have preferred one with a handle and not just a pommel

Item arrived, and when opening the box, it was immediately noticeable that the item was damaged. Upon further inspection of the damage, it was clear that the item was not 100% Blackthorn, and was wood surrounded in cheap plaster. The item came with no tags, nothing explaining its heritage, as was shown in the sellers page. Given the price point, the condition, and obvious plastering of the wood, I do not recommend this item.
