I tried this today on a swrx8 socket cpu. and even though the cooler does not cover the entire cpu it keep it very cold. the 4 silver pieces doubled ended screw bits fitted into the socket. however I could not screw two of them right down low. as it hits on the cpu frame. so I checked the clearance and the cooler is still seated onto the socket. I ran some tests with 128 threads at 100% and system was cool. so seem promising. when I relized I ordered the wrong chipset cooler I ordered a different one with larger radiator and cpu head size. was 600$ compared to this one. I sort think I could have just kept this one and not ordered the larger one. will update if there is a problem running at full workloads in next few days. otherwise if no update means it continues to carry the weight of that cpu even though not full coverage of the dye. the fans where loud without the noise reducer wire that they supply in the box. I guess its got some sort of resistance to lower the fan speed from cpu opt speed. helped allot.
