Unfortunately this came to me broken but I was determined to make it work so I saved it in a container and tried it anyway the color isn’t light enough for me however the lightest shade isn’t really that light if you are a pale person, it’s light but not pale

I am extremely fair and I've tried several shades of this powder and they all go on more light than the color it appears to be. It is also not as finely milled as the L'Oreal True Match powder. If you are looking for the powder to be your foundation - this is probably the right formula but use care when selecting the shade and if you are in between shades be sure to choose the darker of the two. I personally needed to go 2 shades darker than what I would select from other L'Oreal powder and foundation shades. I am able to use this powder as a matte highlighter on my browbone, cheeks, and just above the jawline for a sculpted look so It isn't a total waste to have the lighter color. Note that there is a white cast so if you use the product you will see some white effect in photos that are taken with a flash. I had planned to use this as a foundation but I have many fine lines and I think that a powder foundation is generally not right for me because it tends to settle into those fine lines in a couple of hours - this is a separate comment from the color and is not a complaint about the performance. This product is NOT for someone with dry skin. You probably know that but if it is your first powder foundation: please use care. The product lid is difficult to open and the packaging itself is very thick and bulky in my purse. I don't like to carry it or struggle to open it when I want to apply powder. *********Bottom Line************ If you want a L'Oreal product to cover some shine - choose the True Match powder which you can also find on this site. It performs very well, is more finely milled, and the packaging is easier to open. If you want this product as a powder foundation: I recommend you choose or or two shades darker in your skin tone range (warm neutral or cool).
