Is there a tone control?

There is no tone control that I can see. I've even checked the manual before I responded to this question. Tone is about equal so if you're into deep bass, this unit won't work for you.

Does Karaoke enabled mean that it will play the special CD-G Karaoke cds? The kind of cds that will show lyrics in text if hooked up to a TV or phone?

Karaoke is about you getting help with the words and singing to it not hearing the words sung and trying to sing to that !! So since the word KARAOKE is in the listing it must hook up to a phone, computer or TV screen.

I want to play backing track on one tape, sing over it, and record it to a second tape. Will this machine allow this?
