Madison Reed is the best hair color. I really like it because it has beautiful colors to pick from, and I especially like the grey coverage colors. They cover well with beautiful shine. They give you everything you need in one box, everything! Their gloves are the best I’ve ever used, the skin cream for hairline protection, and it works, skin wipes are wonderful too, and a cap. Then you get shampoo and conditioner to keep your color locked in. Nothing else needed. I use a styling mousse afterwards and my hair has never been shinier! Yes you should try Madison Reed permanent hair color. It’s just the best!

I'm writing this review to help someone perhaps having the same problem as i do. I've been having gray hair since high school and it's gotten worse and worse by year, especially when I'm under stress. I've always hated it but didn't bother to cover it because going to salon for this would cost so much and i'd need to go every couple of months. Lately I have some free time, and one Youtuber I followed recommended this, so thought I could try and see what are all the fuss about. Luckily, this really works to cover my gray. And the color i bought is not super black, it looks just like my natural black color! (3.5 NNN darkest brown Raveena Brown) No one can even tell I've dyed my hair. I can still see a few gray hair but i feel it's because i didn't apply evenly enough on that layer. This is my first time doing it at home, and I have to say it's such a mess and so exhausting to hold your arms up for that long. It'd be much better if you have someone help you and apply it more evenly to get better result. I'm already beyond satisfied with how the final result looks but i think i can do better next time. The reason i'm giving 4 stars is that i feel 1. the bottle is not the easiest to squeeze, the first two squeezes are always just air. And if you are doing it on your own, it's hard to see whether or not, or how much cream you have squeezed out on top of your head. 2. It really should include one more pair of gloves, one more packet of protection cream, and one more cleansing wipe! It would help make the cleaning up much easier. 3. It feels a little itchy when having the cap on. I left it on for about 35 min, and I can feel the tingling on my head and was very eager to wash it off. All in all, I'd buy again and do it more regularly. I like looking into the mirror and not see gray unless i go look for it! I hope it can last at least two months.

I’m male trying to cover some grey hairs. I think this is the 6th brand I’ve tried. The second time with a product that advertises no PPD in the ingredients. The first time (I forget the brand) had “no PPD” written on the box. Reminds me of Tommy Boy the movie. When asked why companies use guarantees, Tommy concludes: "Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of sheet... Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will." Lol! I was swollen and itchy for a week. The Madison Reed actually works, no allergic reaction at all. It’s not the 5 minute rinse, this takes about 30 minutes but it’s worth it. It’s easy to use. No dripping mess, easy to get off my skin. It would be nice if they separated it into 2 sets. I used about a third or less of the product, the rest had to go in the trash. Overall, it’s a great product and more gentle on the hair and skin.

I love this hair color line! it doesn't burn my eyes or my skin (both of which are sensitive). They provide a cream to help with clean-up later (though natural baby wipes worked just as well with both my face/neck and my hands). I prefer to dye my eyebrows with my hair and so the safety of the process is very important to me. I have used the Dark Brown (my natural color) mixed with the Dark Garnet Red to give a brown with red highlights look (looks dark brown indoors but vibrant reddish brown outdoors) and the red took to my grays like water to a dying plant, and the brown took to my own brown and restored the vitalized look from my early 20s! I Highly Recommend this product line! They are slightly higher in cost, but worth EVERY penny!!!

I was wishing this would be the hair dye that would do it since it was on the pricier end But it unfortunately let me down. It says to leave on for 45 min (which is a lot of time compared to toners ) and does not cover grays. Instead of being dark brown like the color I got it has a reddish tint in the roots due to the grays it did not cover. Very disappointed wasting a lot of money for this and it didn’t work well at all.
