Certainty Herbicide for Turf and Lawns 1.25 oz

This really is a one and done treatment for Bermuda struggles I have had. Lasts a long time for a 10k square foot yard. Great value and it freakin works! Very easy to measure with the provided measuring cups and instructions are clear. I have suggested this product to all my neighbors that are jealous of my yard. I use a 4 gal backpack sprayer with a surfactant added to adhere to any weeds and a little blue dye when I treat the whole yard.

I bought this because I have two garden beds infested with quackgrass and bindweed. This works like most herbicides--just dilute in a sprayer and spray away. I drenched both beds fairly aggressively. It works ok on the bindweed and in some places it killed the quackgrass but not as consistently as I would hope. I have applied regularly every two weeks weather permitting and although it continues to seem to work, I haven't quite eliminated either quackgrass or bindweed yet.

This "Certainty" was recomended to me by a close friend. I purchsed a box for close to a hundred dollars. Does it Work on "NUT GRASS"? Yes it Tagets "Nut Grass" or "NUTSEDGE" and follows the root killing all the weeds on that root chain or string. However I notice new nut grass poping up where I sprayed previously, which I believe may have been previous seeds germinating, I respray the area to be sure. Certainty is safe when accidentaly spraying other plants or weeds, it just seems to target NUT GRASS and most importantly the poison follows the root chain. Good Luck

It’s been about three weeks and I’m finally seeing the nutsedge dying off. Works just like it should if you’re patient. Easy to mix and apply — definitely worth having for stubborn lawn weeds.

Certainty works extremely well for controlling nutsedge and certain stubborn grassy weeds. I used it for spot treatment in my warm-season lawn, and within about 10–14 days I started seeing clear yellowing and dieback. The product is very concentrated, so make sure to measure carefully. A little goes a long way, and one small bottle treats a surprisingly large area. I mixed it with a non-ionic surfactant for better leaf coverage, which definitely improved results. Be patient — this isn’t an instant-burn herbicide, but it works systemically and does the job thoroughly. If you’re dealing with yellow nutsedge or similar weeds in bermuda or zoysia turf, this is a solid choice.

This stuff is amazing, a little pricy but worth it. We have paid for professional lawn service and they could never get rid of the crab grass. We were told about this and tried it and it worked amazing product.

VERY expensive for a product that is definitely NOT top tier, IMHO. I do all my own chemicals and lawn treatments, so at least for southern lawns, I have experience in what works and what does not. Certainty is a big disappointment to me after reading other reviews and ratings. I mixed up and applied EXACTLY as the directions required. Applied, waited about 18 hours and watered in. Temps in the 60's and 70's. Primarily wanted to eliminate POA, which had come over from neighborhood lawns, nutsedge, and some misc normal run of the mill spring weeds. Sprayed all over where weeds were showing up, on a selective, weed focused basis but not clear parts of my lawn. Within 2 days, some of the area sprayed was turning brown; both POA AND my grass. NOT impressed there. Most of the other parts of the spray area were unchanged. Now two weeks in, most of the POA I sprayed has started to fade and turn yellow, however, NEW POA has come up right next to where I sprayed, as bright green and healthy as can be. Same for the rest of my other weeds, dandy's, dollarweed, some chickweed. Like nothing has touched them. Sorry, but this product is too slow, too ineffective and too expensive for me to waste my time with again. Back to my old tried and true weedkillers and this one can head to the chemical recycling center to be disposed of. NOT recommended.
