I purchased the nude colored neck brace that comes with the removal rigid plastic strip that adds more structure if needed. While sleeping I find that it is supported enough without this plastic piece, but nice to have the flexibility. Before using this, I often woke up with a strained neck and headaches and even migraines, but not anymore since wearing this brace to sleep each night for about the past month. It is soft enough to be comfy while sleeping, but supportive enough to keep my neck from falling forward or to the sides while I sleep. Took me only a day or two to get used to sleeping with this. I was in between sizes of a medium or large, and was glad I went with the medium. There was ample length in the velcro to make the brace not too tight but just loose enough to keep my chin held up to keep my neck straight. I would think this would also work wonders during air travel or on a road trip instead of using those crappy neck pillows.

My neck measurement was 16 inches, and clavicle to mandible was three and a half inches so I ordered large as recommended on the sizing chart. There is still a very wide gap in the back, which does allow a lot of neck extension. The soft padded part of the brace itself does measure 19 and 1/2 in. The removable sleeve is nice for keeping the neck brace clean. I don't really think the plastic stiffener adds anything to the brace, but when I ordered it didn't cost any more to order the dual purpose brace anyways. I wore this after neck surgery, after I was allowed to stop wearing the hard cervical collar. It does not seem to limit neck extension very much if at all, but it does significantly limit flexion, and limits lateral bending to about 20 degrees. It does not limit rotation of the head at all. The photos demonstrate limits of flexion, extension, and lateral bending with the collar on, as well as the gap in the back.

It’s an ok product but the plastic strap that adds optional rigidity doesn’t stay in place and rides up to your chin .This alters the fit and makes it somewhat uncomfortable. Also I’m so glad I sized up because I was toward the upper end of the size measurement. It fits perfectly when I don’t have the plastic strap on. Get either the soft one or the stronger one but not the hybrid.

Comfortable and reasonable price. This is a size large. I am going to try a size medium to see if the fit might be better for me. The Velcro is very gripping, so it takes more effort to open the strap.

First, the one good point: The booklet of exercises is nice for someone who doesn't know them. Not useful to me but could be good for others. Packaged nicely. 1. The neck brace is too small. I measured 13 inches circumference few times prior to purchase and again with their tape measure they provide. 13.1 inches. The height of my neck is approx. 3 inches. So, according to their standards I should have a medium which I ordered and received. Well, you need to size UP atleast one meaning I should have gotten a large. It doesn't fit, it is hard as a rock, so uncomfortable, and unable to attach the back velcro. My hair kept getting caught in the velcro. You must put your hair up in a ponytail prior to placing it. Still doesn't help. I tried many times over a few weeks to see if it would work. No, It is just a bad product all around. I am hoping I can return it. The window of return to Amazon at Kohls (that is my only option) may not be feasible so may have to eat the money. I'm glad I didn't throw away my old beaten up one as it is far superior to this.

Works great. Good sizing. Seems sturdy.

This neck brace is comfortable, easy to adjust and gives great everyday support. I use it driving and working in front of the computer.

Very uncomfortable due to the hard plastic which digs into your jaw area. I could not wear.
