Each pack includes four semi-transparent decals that appear as frosted glass to humans but glow under UV light to alert birds. Review: Save the birds, use these decals to help prevent bird strikes on windows. - These anti-collision decals seem to work well. They cut down on or eliminate bird strikes and the usual sad result. I believe their effectiveness is two-fold. (1) they simply are visible on the glass and (2), they employ a UV reflective coating which birds can see as a "glow". Our experience over a few years is we see very infrequent bird strikes now and any strikes seem gentler, as if the birds pull-up or slow down due to the decals. Because the UV glow feature does not last indefinitely, we try to replace the decals after about a year. We use a UV flashlight desertcart $12 to occasionally check to see if the glow is still functional. For very large windows we use 3-4 decals each.
