Prints well, great colour effect.
Bought for my husband who 3d prints, he had no issues with the first print and was really pleased with the finish. The filament quality was good, no stringing. Looking forward to his next creations, would purchase again.

Let me tell you, this stuff is magic
Let me tell you, this stuff is magic. I started using it, and before I knew it, I had created a mini Statue of Liberty, a working clock, and a set of dentures for my pet fish. Yes, you read that right, dentures for my fish. This filament is so good it can make the impossible possible. The silk, red and green colours are so vibrant. It's like they're alive. I can't wait to see what kind of crazy creations I can develop next. Thanks, AMOLEN, for making me feel like a 3D printing wizard!

Great filament
I bought a pack with four different types of filament; wood, marble, bronze and gold. The wood filament holds onto the PEI bed well at 70 degrees. I extruded at 215 initially but reduced that to 200 mid-print as I noticed a lot of stringing which never happens with other filaments. Changing the temp down didn't help. Cooling was at 100% after the first layer. I suspect to print without stringing I might need to increase the retraction distance before movement. The wood filament has a nice feel to it and can be sanded. I will definitely be ordering more of this when I run out! The gold filament is sparkly but has a bit of a lack-lustre look to it when printed. It could probably do with a higher ratio of gold sparkly bits to PLA. I printed a tiara for the girls and they love it but I probably won't buy the gold filament again, I just didn't like the overall look of it when printed. This is just an opinion though, YMMV. The marble filament looks really great when printed, it's fantastic for printing buildings, especially roman columns etc. I haven't tried the bronze filament yet. This is a great pack to test out different filaments without taking the plunge on a single 1kg reel of the stuff. Definitely worth a go!

Glown away!
First impressions when this arrived was good. It was vacuum sealed in a normal filament box with a small set of printing guidelines which is always welcomed. I have used Glow filament before from a different brand so I was able to compare this to see how it held up. It was just as brittle as the other brand but that is down to the make up of glow in the dark filament, this didn't cause an issue when feeding into the printer or when printing. I tested the glow on the reel and it was surprising easy to get a glow from it compared to the other brand I had used, although it was blue which may have a factor? I took a step back to my childhood and printed a moon and stars that would glow in the dark. I remember getting these from a magazine and sticking them to my ceiling. For comparison I printed in this filament and also in the other brand's blue filament. Both held up extremely well, adhesion to my freshly cleaned bed was great and it was easy to remove after cooling down. I tested the glow on these and as you can see I was very happily surprised that they came out so well! Definitely brighter than the other branded blue. Since I had both colours printed I decided to create a scene with them. (@mck.3d on Instagram) Printed using an Ender 3 Pro no upgrades, 200 degree hotend & 60 degree bed. All in all I am very happy with this filament. I had never come accross this brand but it will definitely be on my list of reputable suppliers!

My favourite filament in every way
I am in love with this filament and will be buying all the colours. First the colour is subtle and interesting. The colour change can be seen even on smaller pieces. The ombre effect is very gradual so it looks expensive and sophisticated. The layer adhesion is beyond perfect and you can't see any print lines. I made a vase and it doesn't even look 3D printed it is so smooth! Considering the amount of crunchy ugly filaments I have tried lately, I wish this brand made all the colours so I'd never need to buy from anyone else.

The best metallic filament I've used until...
---EDIT--- I've discovered a major problem and I've knocked it down to 1 star. I was 14 hours into a print and it started air printing. On further inspection, I realised why. The filament diameter got so large in a certain area that the filament wouldn't pass through the PTFE on the spool side. Almost half a spool of filament wasted due to manufacturing inconsistencies and I'm not happy at all. £10 would be a fair price for this filament. ---ORIGINAL REVIEW--- This filament prints beautifully. It's the best silver metallic filament that I've tried and I've tried many. It's easy to tune, adheres to the PEI sheet no problem and bridges very well. I've had to knock a star off for the price. It's way over priced for PLA, it should be closer to £15-18 rather than £30.

Great product. Absolutely love it
My first print was of course Baby Groot. I was very happy with the result. It feels like real wood! Following their recommendation I changed the nozzle to a 0.6mm so that's something to consider if you not keen on doing that. Apart from some stringing which is a setting issue rather than the filament I am very happy. My work colleagues like my print too... already on a second print! So..I'm around 200g into it. It is great, but I'm struggling with the stringing. I've tried a range of adjustments but still getting it. Printing at 185 has helped. Update...with some adjustments (185 seems to be optimum temp with flow of 112%) I'm getting perfect prints!

Underwhelming Glow in the Dark Filaments
Bought to get a variety of glow in the dark filaments. Was particularly interested in the multi colour filament. Have done a few prints since and the “glow in the dark” aspect is yet to be seen. Whilst the print quality is fine, even with different infill settings it just doesn’t seem to have the vibrancy in its glow. A bit disappointing, but may end up just using the remainder as transparent filament.

I can pull string by string layer by layer (not only the first layer). I've tried to decrease the speed, higher and lower temp doesn't change a thing. I've tried value inside the range for this filament. I've also tried to dry it, doesn't change a thing. The first layer seems fine at first but it can be riped apart. This is the only brand that I have that does that. Won't buy anything from AMOLEN anymore.
