I do dog rescue and have many dogs of my own. I do all of my nail trimming myself. My personal dogs are all pretty good with nail trimming, however, one of my Chihuahuas that I rescued as a senior, stresses out over nail trimming. I decided to try a hammock for the first time and see if it may help reduce her anxiety. We just used it today for the first time. She was pretty calm until she knew I was going to trim her nails. She started to become stressed at that point, however, there was no need for her to feel as though I was fighting her since I was not holding her. I just pet her and talked to her in between nails. Overall she did very well and I think over time her anxiety will lessen. Usually after trimming her nails, she can't get away from me fast enough. Today she did not even try to get away from me afterward. This little hammock is a great buy! She was secure and she seemed to feel secure as well. I don't like having to hold the little dogs tightly when they are fighting it, especially because many of the tiny breeds have knee issues and I am concerned about causing harm to them in the interim. I would highly recommend this hammock for anyone that has a small dog that fights nail trimming. This is the x-small and I also purchased the small in case I need it for a rescue dog. For reference, she is a 6 lb. dog.

Best 9.99 ever spent my dogs would not let me trim their nails was going to the veterinary I think it started at about 20.00 per dog x3 was 60 they gradually raised the price to 35 per dog well I saw this sling used on YouTube and looked easy found this one here for 9.99 bucks so far have saved 95.00 dollars gave the dogs treats before I put it on and afterwards high value treats! Right now not more than 5 minutes of being released my dogs are sitting right here with me so that tells me no traumatized puppies also they would fight me before trying to trim their nails now they just hang with absolute no trying to get out or away I hung it on the top rail of the bathtub shower door worked out great I highly recommend trying this method of trimming your dogs nails I have not used the file or clippers provided I used ones that worked well years agoHappy Camper with this Sling

Seems to be made well enough, but the design could use some improvements. My cat freaked out. I gave it to goodwill after two attempts to get her in it.
