Fits 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
Overall one of the highest cost investments for an upgraded CAI system, produces acceptable results. Do not expect this upgrade to wow the pants off you. My main motivation for this specific CAI upgrade was the TRD designed product that draws air from outside the hot engine compartment. K&N’s models failed to draw from outside the engine compartment and simply utilized a questionable “heat shield” around the top of the filter. This model a 100% OEM designed upgrade that looks sharpe, designed for reliability, and 100% fit guarantee - when installed as described. K&N did not offer filament of these standards, as a result the engine cover has to be “whittled down” in order for it to correctly seat after product installation. No noticeable mileage increases, but no one purchases a CAI system upgrade for that. Increased engine prowess and rumble, but nothing obnoxious. I would say in the realm of 10 - 13 hp increase based only on personal opinion - I did not dyno test pre & post. Take that for what it’s worth. Added this unit with a throttle body spacer, Jet Performance MAF sensor, and Pedal Commander unit to complete my engine performance upgrade on my 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium.

Sounds great! Fit is not 100% good…
I installed it in about an hour, all when well except the fact that the filter itself won’t fit well in it making the cover difficult to close and possibly damaging the clamp. I was very disappointed since it’s a toyota product. I would sincerely like to be compensated for this.

Installed on 2016 4Runner SR5
I just got this part about 5 days days ago and it took about a week to get here (California). Upon opening the box everything was packaged very nicely and nothing was damaged also came with full directions on how to install it. I just got it installed a day and a half ago through my local Toyota Dealer which cost me about 125 dollars in labor and took an hour and a half. Upon leaving the dealer I could defiantly tell a difference in sound. When idling it's very quiet as if the stock intake was still on which is good. As you accelerate you can here a whistling sound which I thought was pretty cool and as you get into higher RPM's that's when you hear the power and it gets a significant amount louder. When I put the pedal to the floor you can definatly feel the pull so I do feel like it added a little bit of horse power. I haven't had it on long enough to tell you how it's effected my MPG but the intake does make you want to floor it all the time because of how loud it is compared to the stock intake. I gave this part 5 stars because so far it does what it says it supposed to do, came packaged very nicely, and was installed with no problems. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a verified Toyota part so if you have any type of warranty on your truck still and something goes wrong with the engine Toyota can't come back and blame it on the after market part like if you were to install a K&N or any other type of cold air intake. Hope this review was helpful!

fits a 2012 f j cruiser perfectly
The Amazon vehicle filter says part# PTR03-8900 will not fit your 2012 fj cruiser in red caution letters..... Not true!!!!! After doing research, I found that PTR03-8900 is the correct part# and it does fit a 2012 FJcruiser perfectly. Follow the directions "mostly anyway" and everything will go smooth. It took me exactly 2½ hrs to install. If you're not mechanically inclined, have a competent shop install it. Because the outer passenger wheel well liner has to be partially removed to remove the oem air inlet.. which is held on by 5 10mm bolts and 6 clips.. The insert side of the clips must be collapsed... I used a10 mm socket from the top side to collapse those clips twisting the 10mm socket.. the last 2 clips are the hardest... you're going to have to reach up inside the liner from where its already detached,.. blind where the liner is sandwiched between the fender lip and the oem plastic fender flair at the top horizontal part of the wheel well. There's 1 near the center and 1 in the front. I attached a ¼" ratchet to the 10mm socket for leverage. If you don't collapse, the corners of the insert side of the clips, you'll break them for sure. The directions doesn't tell you this.. I didn't even break one clip or stress them.. TRD clams 8 to 10 extra horsepower over the stock air intake and it looks awesome too. Difficulty level, 1 person job = 4 out of 10
