TP-Link TL-R470T+ Load Balance Broadband Business Router with Up to 4 WAN Ports, PPPoE Server, Advanced QoS and Strong Firewall

Working good.No any problem from the Purchase.

First, I reall wished to buy a gigabit WAN router for future proofing but all ISPs commonly have a 100mbps max connection speed. My home of office LAN is all with gigabit Ethernet.This router is well made, solid metal build. Setup was a breeze. I'm using this with one static IP connection & the second with a PPPoE ISP. With load balancing that helps bandwidth aggregation. Works well without any packet loss.Recieved a newly made product dated April 2019 V6.0 but firmware updates ended until June 2018.Will post a follow up review a month later.Update: (June 2020) a year later.....Recently recieved a 2020 firmware update last month. Router has been very functional and link aggregation has been working great. I've been using Airtel xstream, ACT Fibernet & Excell broadband with different protocols each like DHCP, PPPoE & Static IP configurations. Only drawback is that the link speed limit is only 100mbps which isn't helpful for future use if I get a faster internet plan ( 50+40+40mbps currently).I can recommend this router for internet users who don't have current plans of not greater than 25-40mbps.

TP link load balancing router is really does its job. I purchased this product, first configured the product with Airtel cable, and then added Jio cable to another port. then I took output from the LAN ports, i am able to access both Airtel and Jio services on the LAN ports, if any one is down, automatically another one is made available to all the ports. very useful one for work from home professions.

This router has connectivity issue i am using jio and bsnl what i have noticed connection drops frequently .

All, Couple of thoughts, I would like to share on this product.1. Excellent Product, but needs basic to intermediate level networking knowledge to customize to your requirement. GUI is very easy to use for standard load balancing algorithms. in my case i have a high-speed internet connect and a 4G+ router, so i need my 4G+ connect to be used only when my primary connect goes down due to latency and pile size. but I was not able to configure that with standard options.I used policy based routing to get this setup and removed all the load balancing rules i created.2. Bad Supplier - i had to order this and return and order again. twice I had to order and both the times i got broken box, first time the device and items inside the box was haphazard - i was sure it was used product. Amazon need to take of these issue - i had no patience 2nd time to send it back and wait for 2 more days - so I accepted the product. i have Pics if you need

The product is nice and setup was straightforward. However, it only supported 100mbps which was not mentioned anywhere in the product description. I have a 200mbps connection and hence this was not useful for me.

The router performs reasonably well with a small number of devices, but as more devices connect, the stability drops noticeably. I’m using a WAN mix of Hathway (125 Mbps) and Airtel (40 Mbps), yet I frequently get “No Connectivity” errors and often need to restart the router to restore service.Despite a combined input bandwidth of 165 Mbps, the output speed never reaches 100 Mbps — typically hovering around 80–85 Mbps. Not ideal for heavy or multi-device usage. Needs improvement in load handling and stability

Overall:Tp link load balancer modem works as a charm. I installed this at my home. We have 3 laptops 2 smart Tv and 6 mobile devices. Daily data consumption of 30 - 50GB. So i have subscribed for 2 different ISP with 100 mbps speed. Along with this R470T I have 2 Tplink wifi routers which act as Access points.Pros:This tplink R470T manages the traffic by equally sharing the connections accross ISP's. So the load is equally shared. Worth the price.Cons:Not a wifi router.Serves 100mbps only enough for home and small businesses.

It has been working great with some initial setup, which was not too complicated. I now have multi WAN setup and the router can deliver a steady speed. One thing to note that the max delivery speed from eth port is capped at 100Mbps regardless the number of WANs you connect. having said that it should be sufficient for many small businesses.

Used for failover. Works like a charm. Failover config is straightforward. Just set failover mode and the device will keep the WAN2 link disabled (no traffic will pass across it). Within 30sec of WAN1 not being reachable the WAN2 link is enabled and traffic to/from the LAN ports is routed across it. No other manual routing policies, etc. are needed to achieve this failover functionality. I can highly recommend for this kind of need.

acquistato per prova, si è dimostrato un pozzo di funzioni. alla fine l'ho usato per mettere insieme 3 connessioni - radio, rame e 4g - per fare sia backup che aggregazione di banda.
