Broan-NuTone 9810WH High Capacity Wall Heater, White Grille, 1000-Watts, 120/240V

Heating bathroom, works quickly and fine. Good range of adjustments as to temperature setting.

This bathroom heater replaces a 50 year old Broan model 101. ( I wish Broan would make a replacement that fits the old metal wall box. Yes, I did call them. This was the closest fit.) Of course this unit is slightly larger so the old box had to come out. I did remove it with some difficulty. Hack sawing was involved. The new box went in easily after enlarging the wall opening by removing a small amount of plaster wall with a saw. Of course the old wiring fed up through the bottom of the metal box and the new one feeds from the top. Adding a couple of feet of wire solved that problem. (Come on Broan, THINK customer) The new heater works great. It delivers a lot of heat and quickly warms our bathroom. Am I happy with this heater? Very much so. The heater is fairly quiet, considering forced air by fan. (The old one had no fan.) Mounting it securely reduces noise and vibration. The fan deserves 5 stars. Mounting it as a replacement gets 3 stars, therefore 4 stars overall.

No issues

This heater is an easy DIY install (110 version), and works perfectly. After 1 winter, the fan quit working. The heating element still produces heat, but the fan is toast. It is entirely too expensive to just replace it with the same unit and roll the dice. It's pretty annoying.

Great wall heater. Arrived on time, installed easily and worked great. Should have gotten the highest btu, but this works fine.

We wired for 120. Fan is quite loud and heat output does not vary in intensity. You can hold your hand in front of the blower and the heat output is lukewarm . May be ok for a very small room but not a living room.

I have a master bedroom that needed a small heater to take the chill off in the mornings. This little heater did the trick. Easy to install, and boy turn it on and this little honey blows. In a short time, the room is nicely warm. Yes I would buy again!

Nice heater. Clear directions and easy install. The only reason its not getting 5 stars is due to the plastic front. Hopefully it doesn't yellow over time. If it does I will report back here. Otherwise, its well worth the money. We use it every morning in NJ to warm the upstairs bathroom prior to showering instead of heating the whole house. We heat the house with a wood burner and rarely use the central heat. So for us this heater is perfect for what we needed. Bathroom is approx 8 x 10 and it warms to 78 degrees in about 10 minutes with the outside temp below 32.

Looks classy,,works wonderful in our new vintage bathroom.
