The best voice recognition software ever made
Excellent voice recognition, the company itself has excellent shopping policies almost overnight.The product itself is the best of their with no comparable software. Nuance support can definitely improve and be more targeted and much less time wasting but still it has great manual and instructions.

Yeah it's better and more accurate than the 10.1 version. Get it. Especially with She/he and his/her. It seems faster too.

WARNING: Nuance gives ZERO back for your money. No support. Refuses contact once cash is paid
Nuance has NO support. Good luck if you need any help! They take your money quick but--the very same day you purchase and try it you--a problem? Too bad for you!! Your money and Nuance disappears. "Nuisance " would be a better word. THERE IS NO SUPPORT. Dragon 2 has the same odd flaws as Dragon 10.1-- starts every sentence without a capital letter just like 10.1 . Odd words "and" and "will" drift in out of nowhere. And no one to ask. Within a day after handing 570 dollars for the upgrade-- and after paying 1200 dollars for Dragon 10.1, I tried to solve what I thought would be a slam dunk problem for them but no human even paused to say hello. Never could get a chat, an email, a voice beyond--we don't recognize your organization ma'am--this is an organization line. Tried last two days again but no go. If I was a big organization or if they really cared I could get aid. The form keeps asking for my organization's input number and --my manager's name. Whatever I put is "Invalid Entry" and when ever I call I am told no one answers these types of calls. Only after the big fish I guess. But throw your little fish money along the way and --gosh, if they must, they will gobble it up too if they are forced. Just don't have the temerity to think it earns any help from them. It does not. I tried calling and she said "We will take calls from your organization lead." Which is er, me. I am in solo practice. She hung up on me. Then the next person at least said, "I am here for large clinic settings" and then, oops, his line went dead too. A third told me to read the manual. I said there was no manual that came and he laughed and hung up. Meanwhile I hand capitalize every sentence and think how stupid I am to throw money at Nuance who profits from people and is too arrogant to even answer a simple question as though me paying 1,800 dollars for a piece of software is still too poor for a single response. Go ahead and feed their coffers if you feel like it Just don't say you have not been warned about these rats.Dragon Medical 2 still has the same flaws but at least you can donate more money to people who care deeply about the individual they sell to..(yes, that last is a joke)

Not a big improvement
Not much different from the previous Medical practice Edition. Did not help much. Maybe I have to use it for a while to learn the differences. Negative: It does not type Mr. but types Mister instead. tried to train it without success. The original one was better. I feel like I wasted my money on this Edition.

This is the first version of DragonSpeak that I can recommend.
Voice recognition with version 12 is significantly better than with version 10. It is still not is good as a transcriptionist, but it is almost there. You still have to carefully proofread your dictation to catch subtle and not-so-subtle mistakes, but definitely better than before. Recognition of medical jargon is very accurate, but there are still problems with homonyms: viz: to, too, two, 2, etc. Works well under Win 8.1. I think that using a high quality dictation microphone such as the Phillips or the Dictaphone significantly improves accuracy. I prefer the former, but the latter also produces significantly improved results compared to a low cost microphone.
