That would probably not be Germany. They list Germany, Romania, Moldova, Portugal, Tunisia, and China but any part of the process could be in any country. **Q: Are these hollow?** A: I have never cut one open to see if they are hollow inside. They are intricately designed to replicate a live animal. Figureines by this country are very well-constructed ans painted authentically. They are non-toxic. I have purchased a great many for my grandchildren. I reccommend them enthusiastically! **Q: are these non-toxic? and does the color rub off at all? thank u** A: They are non-toxic and the color does not rub off.
