7-Inch Metal Cutting Blade, 5-Pack (DW3511B5)

These Dewault metal cutting blades really work. I used a couple of them to cut a big recliner's steel frame into pieces that could be put into a rolling trash bin and taken away over a couple of weeks time without having to pay extra for large item disposal. The upholstered part of the recliner was not too hard to cut up with a normal saw blade - but the metal framework was tough steel - these Dewault cutting blades mounted on my power saw did a great cutting job on the steel bars - great price, too.

So I have a mitre saw my dad gave me with a great folding stand. It's an old, professional Black &Decker, but it has almost all metal housing, aside of the plastic motor/handle cover. The metal frame has allowed me to use a metal cutting blade, but the blade was disappointing. On to the abrasive disc... decent results. To give you an example, it cuts 1 1/2" mild tube steel at 1/8" easily in under 1 minute at a 90 degree cut. It takes a little longer for a 45, but it's okay. There's a bit of spark, but nothing concerning & the cut quality is decent! I like the 5 pack & look forward to testing it out. I tried to cut through the tube steel that had 3 extra welding beads run on the outsides for practice, but it had a lot of trouble on the 45... Very tough and I had to just stop, but it cut right through the regular tube afterwards. I'll see how they hold up and decide if I'll buy again.

I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to turn my circular saw into a spark throwing death machine, but I God bless America and hold my beer! Twice as fast as my grinder for cutting long straight lines on a stack of metal sheet. Also puts on a good light show!

The blade will wear fast but it will cut through galvanized plumbing pipe quickly. The blades are affordable enough so just replace it if the other wears down. Longevity is medium, unless you have diamonds but even that wears down.

I used them in a circular saw to cut through metal roofing. Less loud, and less shrapnel than turning a circular saw blade backwards. Definitely wear gloves, long sleeves, hearing and eye protection. I cut about a 30 feet with them and it only took 1/2 inch off of the blade. It's nice because if you get off track, the blade will grind left and right to get you back on your line. Unlike a metal blade.

Very aggressive with metal. Little slower cutting cement bricks, but did the job. Very satisfied!!!

Created extremely fine dust that was everwhere while cutting old cast ion bath tub. Stopped using them and changed to sawzall blades for thick steel/iron which made bigger particles that did not go air born and was faster than using these disks in a skill saw.
