Unpredictable
The Lumiscope ear thermometer worked fine the very first time - I think. But after using it about three times within three weeks, the longlasting battery is low on power. So, I am not even sure if it is working. And, I get conflicting temperatures, so I am not inclined to trust it yet. Maybe a new battery would help? I guess I should have read the other reviews before I purchased this pricey item.

it's not the same I got
The product I received did not come with a hard case, and it's not the same they show on screen. My purchase was for a foreing country So it doesn't pay off to claim or sent it back for it will be more expensive than the product itself. I am embarrassed for I bought 2 and 1 was not for my myself and the other person bought specifically because of the hard case.

Not accurate!
I've tested this product against a Vicks oral digital 8-10 second thermometer, and the Lumiscope thermometer seems to be rather unreliable compared to oral thermometers, being off +/- 1-1.5 degrees F. I would spend a bit more for one of the ear thermometers by Braun.

It is a very good thermometer but the box case is missing
I like very much the thermometer. It is easy to use, precise and lightweight.The only thing missing is a box case that is shown on the picture. It was not included. There was only fabric bag included.Overall, the product picture is misleading. The shape of the thermometer is slightly different vs that shown on the picture. I think they show a bit different modification.

Wonderful!
I am going to purchase this item for a friends baby shower, and thought I would share my review. I have owned this thermometer for three years and it still works like new! It was by far the best $30 I have ever spent!

nope
I take my temp as fast as I can reset it and stick it in again. I pull my ear up and try to put it the same way. I even leave it in for a second before I push the button. It varies wildly. 98.2, 96.5, 97.7. Useless, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Thanks, Obama, I mean Trump.
