Is this NSF 61 approved for drinking water?

The valve itself does not have a NSF 61 certified.

Would this work with thin walled pvc for sewer? specifically d2729 pvc pipe for drain applications?

The Valterra 4" 6401 valve is made for Schedule 40 pvc pipe.

I need two monday anyway to get them shipped asap?

Can the shaft be extended? I see valterra has a extension handle for gate valves, which one will work on the 6401 knife gate valve?

Yes, we do have extension rods for the 4" valve. The part numbers depend on the length you are looking for. For example we have the X4-12, which is a 12" extension rod for the 6401 valve. We also have an X4-24, X4-36, X4-48.
