Aluminum GOVO Badge Holder/Wallet_ Durable ID Card Holder with Metal Clip and 4 Cards Slot (Silver)

Good quality, sturdy build. I use it daily at work in rough environments where it gets hit and pulled constantly, make sure whatever you attach it to is strong enough to hold it as well.

What a solid piece of aluminum. it is very strong. sliding your card in feels really secure. i used it for my twic card and it really holds it down. this is just the aluminum portion. the plastic covering is about two credit cards thick. it feels solid. i tried to put a little bit of pressure onto it and it does flex but who would be flexing the cover purposely? i havent exposed it to the salt elements of the sea so that is something that i will be worrying about. the clip is very tight. i actually like that. it is very stiff so you will feel comfortable hanging it out of your pocket. totally worth the money if you can afford it. Update: I just dropped it 2 meters onto concrete tile flooring. no cracks, blemishes, burrs, whatnot.

Update (12/07/2019): After 8 months, still working well, no issues. Summary: I looked at this (GOVO) and a lower cost alternative (ELV), and decided to buy both and do a comparison. GOVO Details: First, I looked at the plastic version of the GOVO badge holder, and most of the negative reviews complained of two issues: a) the plastic breaking at the clip mount point, and b) the clear front separating because the screws stripped out of the plastic. Therefore, I decided to go with the aluminum version (the Titanium, while cool, was too expensive). Pros: 1) Heavy duty alumninum constrution, 2) front plastic is frosted not glossy, so less reflective, 3) simple card removal (cut-out slot), 4) slotted frame can be used to hang the holder horizontally (see pictures). Cons: 1) Heavier than plastic (and the ELV), and 2) Expensive. Discussion: I rated it 4 stars, mainly because of the high price point. Overall, the alumninum version appears that it will be very durable. ELV Details: The ELV looks very promising. Pros: 1) low cost (1/3 cost of GOVO), 2) aluminum frame, 3) seamless construction, 4) good fit & finish, and 5) card removal lever. Cons: The only gripe I could identify is that the card removal level protrudes from the bottom of the holder. Discussion: The ELV can be hung from a paracord lanyard like the GOVO; however, it needs to be smaller (2mm, or Type I cord, not 550# paracord). Conclusion: If you want the high speed, low drag version, the nod goes to the GOVO. However, the ELV is a very close second, and actually way ahead of cost is your primary driving factor. Though it is extremely sturdy, and even though it is made out of aluminum (aluminium for you Britons), it is too heavy for my lanyard, as its weight pulls the badge down from the lanyard's retractable badge reel. If I lift it up, it will retract, of course, but eventually it weight will pull the card holder down 1-2 inches. Not out of security specs but it doesn't look very professional. This card holder would be excellent if you are not attaching it to a retractable reel lanyard.

I had the plastic model I was given as a gift when I got a job out at the space center. Let me tell ya these things are bad ass I put it through hell, I bent the clip several times and would straighten it back out and it would just keep going. It flew out of my pocket while riding my motorcycle one day I thought I lost my badge however it turned out it had wedged itself between the brake caliper and rotor and it continued the ride to wok with me for about 3 miles. The back of it had melted and it melted the badges inside some but I still continued to use it for another 1.5 years untill it finally gave up on me. I ordered the aluminum one to replace it next I’m going to get one out of titanium and hopefully by that time they will have some sapphire glass for the front I’m rough on things. 10/10 would recommend these bags holders to anyone that wants a tough one

I like the holder, it is sturdy and doesn’t feel too heavy. I can clip it to my belt or wear it with lanyard or off a suit jacket pocket. Several reviews mentioned being able to use it for ‘badging’ in and out of doors. Unfortunately the CAC readers are my office are not able to pick up the signal. That it my CAC RFID tag is too weak. I’m willing to bet it’s the RFID products in use more than the badge holder though.

I love this thing! It holds my badge and some business cards. I bought the lanyard but never have attached it. The clip is very sturdy and works better for me attached to my pants pocket. I toss it about and it takes the abuse very well. I recommend this to anyone needing a good badge holder. I might even ise it as a minimalist wallet.

Ik had eerst de plastic versie, die is na 5 jaarintensief gebruik helaas stuk gegaan. Nu overgegaan naar Aluminium, met een beetje schrik dat de badgelezers niet meer zouden werken, maar niets is minder waar. Top product voor mij. Geen kletsende badge tegen je borst en toch altijd bij de hand.

I took a punt on the aluminium version of this pass holder and I have to say its fantastic! its not the cheapest obviously at £30 quid but it is very well made and holds 4 cards as described so I am using it as my wallet now
