Christmas spritssss
A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a book based upon kindness, charity, love, generosity, respect and Christmas spirit.😍 So mainly this prose or story is about a man named Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by his former friend Jacob Marley and the Christmas spirits of past, present and yet to come. After the visits of the spirits he completely changes into a generous man. ❤️ Scrooge is a cold hearted man and a bit greedy. He doesn’t care about the feelings of other people.😞 He never even spoke well with his family and relatives. Once on the eve of Christmas his nephew, Fred invited him to a family dinner so that his mood could change but he refused him and spoke in an ill-mannered way. But then he is visited by the spirits. The past spirits took him to his childhood memories where he enjoyed with his sister, how happy he was, how he spent his time with his family. The present spirit took him to his employee’s house, where he was shown the condition of his family, how his crippled son was struggling to live and informed him if the future isn’t changed he may even die. He also visited the party at Fred’s. So at last the yet to come spirit visit him and show him several scenes showing that after the death of a person everyone is amused instead of grieving. He also tells him the tiny Tim (his employee’s son is also dead). Then is too learns that he is dead and his death has only pleased people. So from these visits he learns about changing his nature that is talking to everyone in a good way, thinking good for others, involving with his family, and never ignore anyone. And these visits did change him.😊 The best part of this novel was obviously the time when he changed himself. ❤️ He gave smile to everyone and was friendly to every person he meets. On the eve of Christmas, he sends a turkey to his employee’s house, gives generous amount of donation to the charity, people whom he has insulted before and he also went for dinner party at Fred’s. Next day he even raised his employee’s salary. From that day onward, he never visited any spirits and kept the spirits of Christmas alive.😍 This book may help many people to give up greed and selfishness. Every person either young or old must read this book and learn some core values form this book. 👍🏻👏🏻

A refreshing one-day read.
Well, it took less than a day for me to finish this endearing piece of literature. And as much as the book is like a simple adage, introduction-story-denouement, it is all about how Dickens goes on with his infallible style of his character description. Going into the story, Ebenezer Scrooge is a morose, irritable curmudgeon who mostly keeps to himself and wouldn't bestow a trifle of happiness on others. If anything, he likes to rob others of their joyous moods. With the Christmas eve at hand, many a person come to him for wishing Merry Christmas but gets turned away. Scrooge lives in a little bleak house where the Ghost of his long-gone deceased partner, Jacob Marley, visits him and informs him he would be visited by Three other ghosts. And what things the ghosts show him, which places they take him, to get the old man a glimpse of how the world perceives a Christmas eve; and how it looks down upon a stingy old man who wouldn't care twopence for anyone when he had lived. A rather heart-warming tale about the blithe way everyone regards those around him/her on Christmas Eve. I have read Dickens before. But this tale just settles into the grooves of my heart with a beautiful presence. Some lines, as always in a Dickens novel, stayed with me and will stay for long.

What a wonderful Classic...
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens...!!! Its a Classic fiction Story... which revolves around a person named Ebenezer Scrooge, The man only gives respect to money but no one else...!!! At one point while describing Scrooge, Author writes like this "No warmth could warm, No wintry weather will chill him, No wind that blew was bitterer than he, No falling snow was more intent upon its purpose, No pelting rain less open to entreaty" In this book, A situation comes where Scrooge should meet Three Spirits : The Spirit of past, present and Future. Now the question is whether these spirits able to change the attitude of Scrooge or not and what happens to Scrooge after meeting these three spirits...!!! One should read this book and learn for themselves...!!! Its a wonderful classic... and what makes A Christmas carol Special is - "The Author : Charles Dickens" The way he express the story will leave readers speechless..!!! I Strongly recommend one to buy this book, and the following once... * A Christmas Carol * Animal Farm * The Time Machine * Frankenstein * 1984 Note : I bought this book from Finger print publishers, truly speaking this book by finger print publishers is not like the usual one they have published this book with love, I must say love.... because the quality of ages and printing says so...

But was it all a dream...?
So once again I'm late to read a book that most of the English-speaking world at least has read before they leave school. I was captivated by A Christmas Carol. It's first and foremost a moral, cautionary tale, which is primarily why I'd never read it. I went to a Catholic school and recieved quite enough moral instruction on a daily basis. But it's not just about learning a lesson. You find yourself wondering, and never get a solid answer, whether Scrooge has really experienced the visitations, or is in fact dreaming vividly as a result of the day's events. We've all had dreams so vivid that they seem like reality. Perhaps Dickens himself had a dream that sparked changes in himself. From what I understand he wasn't the nicest of men and a pricking conscience is one thing that will enter our dreams. A Christmas Carol is done and finished in no time at all and is a real joy to read. Dickens' usual powerful characterisation enables an immediate knowing of each person. The descriptive language paints vivid pictures of people, ghosts and places transporting you into the world of Ebeneezer Scrooge and you understand that he is a lonely man who simply won't acknowledge that fact. Not long after my Mum passed away in October just gone, I had a dream not unlike the visit of the three ghosts, probably, I hope, as a result of reading the story, and it had a similar impact on me to the ghosts on Scrooge. So perhaps it is a morally edifying tale. Perhaps if I'd read it years ago, my dream would not have been necessary. It's a story that makes you think about your life and how you conduct yourself and provides a strong visual to aid the analysis. I'm not at all like Scrooge, I hasten to add, but I'm human and there's room for improvement. A Christmas Carol does not need to be read at Christmas to have its impact. It is well worth a read and is a story I'll read again from time to time, quickly established as one of my favourite pieces of literature.

lovely book
What a wonderful book! After a (grossly misprinted) disappointment from a different publisher of this same book, I am very pleased with this copy. The cover, layout & illustrations are all lovely. I don't typically like the feel of glossy pages, but I'm overlooking that minor detail of personal preference with the hope that this book will last the test of time because of its glossy paper. Also, it's a large size book that will stand out & look beautiful on the shelf between reads. “I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.”
