How long is the slide? Thanks!

I just measured the slide. The length from the platform (where the child stands) to the bottom of the slide (where the child lands) is about 28 inches. However, the height of the slide, from the platform to the bottom of the slide is only about 19 inches. We received the slide for my daughters first birthday and she was capable of climbing up the stairs and sliding down safely without assistance.
