Great product, VFM
The media could not be loaded. This is the second Havells Crescent fan that I've purchased through Amazon. It is small, lightweight, quiet, and works like a charm. The first one is used as a kitchen fan, the second as a desk fan. The throw is more than adequate, but keep in mind that this is a personal fan - not intended for groups. I haven't mounted either fan, so can't comment on that.

A silent worker!
The fan is very smooth! Quiet and effective! Had ordered the white andvbkue coloured one, but the blue isvquite different from what's given in the pic....it's a more soothing light blue! The fan at 2 speed is so quiet that you may need to remember to switch it off when leaving the room! 😄 The size is not too small....almost the size of an average forearm. Overall happy with the purchase.

IT MAKES A NOISE LIKE A PROPELLER OF AN AIRCRAFT!
Most of us are working from home in this lockdown. We need quiet appliances (fans/ AC). I spent over a couple of days studying reviews and bought this and am terribly disappointed! Not that it's a "bad" fan. It throws air alright, gusty and with relish!Let me vent what i don't like about it:1. It is terribly noisy! My wife is a music teacher (piano and singing) and will teach online until we feel comfortable in having students come into our house. We used to have a very, very quiet TATA Croma table fan that honked off (not in the market any longer, unfortunately, as every good product should). I was looking for a replacement and this certainly is not it.2. I tried to keep it at minimum speed but that is also very strong and noisy! The wind throw at minimum is enough to raise a storm! If that was a need, anyone considering this product would have bought an Usha or a Bajaj or even a Havell table/ pedestal fan. THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL FAN. IT'S TOO POWERFUL TO BE CALLED ONE. AND THIS IS NOT A WORK-FROM-HOME FAN; you won't be able to make voice/ video calls with this running. Nor use a microphone, inbuilt or otherwise.3. (this is not a reason for me trying to return the product) The revolving grill is poorly designed, in case you think is going to distribute air around the room (and in the process keep the things quieter). there is NO (perhaps negligible) spread of air. it looks like a feature added for the sake of make-believe but not to serve an intended purpose.Having said that, it's not that this is a "bad" product either. It all depends on what you use it for.1. If you want a quirky/ interesting design instead of a regular table fan (without oscillation, because the revolving grill doesn't serve a purpose), buy this.2. If you want a fairly noisy fan with a fair jet of air thrown at part of you, buy this.I hope you are a bit clearer of what to expect. I wasn't, reading the reviews I had on offer to make a choice.

Amazing product for kitchen
Beautiful product and the need of the times.it is so hot in kitchen and normal fans including even tower fans have a issue that it distrmurbs gas flame. The crescent fan mounted at head or chest level at side gives such a great breeze and it is so good .2 speed itself is enough so it is very powerful.it looks very neat and premium and adds a style to kitchen. It is very compact and does not take any space.amazing product

Poor Packing and No warranty card
I am very disappointed with the poor packing of the box. There is no warranty card into the box. Shorter length of power cord is another major issue. There is no speed controling switch at the side panel. However, it is present in the image of the product.I am satisfied with the speed and lower noise level.

Really Useful as Kitchen Fan
Few years ago, I purchased a tiny fan through amazon which had a rechargeable battery, but that was way too small and ineffective for our use and also took up to 8 hours to recharge. We could not feel any moving air beyond 1 foot! So, this time, I was really careful and searched many personal fans over amazon. Finally, I zeroed in on a seemingly costly Havells Crescent fan after comparison with others, and finally placed an order for it. And I am happy with this decision. It has been 10 days since I have been using it. I brought it to use it in the kitchen and it is just like what I wanted. We use it at lowest speed there and it is effective. We just keep it over a 1 foot high stool on the floor on our left side 3 feet away and tilt it upwards 30-40 degrees. This way the air it moves does not affect the flame of the gas stove kept on the kitchen slab. It produces less noisy breeze at that speed. The first speed setting is the exact setting which gives us enough cooling in kitchen from a distance of 3 feet. Of course, this fan is for use of a single person. If you try to rotate it, there is a way to tilt it up to 30-45 degrees upwards. It can be tilted down beyond the horizontal level down to, say 5 degrees if you turn it backwards fully. For more downward tilt than that, you may put some plastic/wood/cardbox wedges under its legs (under the back of its legs/support). It produces some (little) noise at 2nd and 3rd speed, but that is not disturbing. Any kitchen fan smaller than this or bigger than this would not have worked for us. Even those blower fans which are smaller than this but have very fast speed/rpm (only one speed), are not good for a small kitchen, and are really annoying since they produce huge noise. Even though we do not have problem moving it from one place to other due to its lightweight, it would have been more helpful had there been a small handle at its top. Without that, we have to use both hands to move it from the kitchen to another room. It could be fitted on the top of its yellow crescent axis. And if personal fans brands start giving a cord which is at least 2 meters long would help, too. This one has about 1 meter long cord. It could have been longer given its cost. It is costly but given that is from a reputed Indian brand, comes with 2 years warranty and that since it is effective for use as a kitchen fan/personal fan, it is a good deal for us. I hope that it is durable.

Bought it for my kitchen..working nicely..not too heavy also a bit noise is there..but that is bearable..major thing is the packing was battered, i need not to open it .it was already open.. it been badly damaged in transit..however the cut was propoer..like someone cut it with cutter. This is the only point of concern for seller.Otherwise ..product is good
