After driving for about 1000 kms this is my observation: 1. Engine clatter and sound has greatly reduced. 2. Pickup during cold starts is noticeably better and there are no hick-ups during flat out acceleration. 3. Mileage didnot improve and that's not a problem as it was already around 20kmpl. 4. I felt like the engine got rid of all its friction and runs like a knife on butter. My friend is using Amsoil Max duty signature series 5w40 in his duster 110ps AWD. It was his suggestion to go for this oil. Since it was out of stock and my service was already due, I bought this turbo truck variant. Seriously, I don't find any difference between the two as I drove bothe the cars (with same engine). My advice: If you are a regular in-city and highway (mixed user) user, just go for turbo truck 5w40. If you drive in demanding conditions like mild off roading, load carrying and up-hills quite often, then go for signature Max duty 5w40. It is not worth investing extra 1k for Max duty if you are going to drive only on smooth roads! The 3.0 D4D engine smoothly Revs. The Engine is quite smooth After the Oil change. It was the first time using Amsoil, So used the Amsoil Engine Flush too. Which I think added to the Better flushing. After 1500kms of use, I just loved the way the engine has changed it's characteristics, I think the oil Has good Oil Film strength that is why the metal moving parts are not making much noise. After the Oil change on my Old Fortuner decided to Try on the New 2.8 Fortuner too, And the engine reacted the same way the old one did. Very smooth and engine feels like its happy being revved.
