My sony vaio laptop bought in 2013 is having 6 GB Ram, so i have bought 2 * 8 GB and speed is improve a lot. It is original ram from Crucial and working fast. I would strongly recomend it for old laptop. If you are planning to use old laptop for longer period, then it is value for money also to upgrade this ram.

Good quality product and service by Amazon. I would request to have better cushion packing for RAMs or Electronics to avoid damages to products which leads to RETURNS and TIMEWASTE and MONEY WASTE just because of PACKAGING not so well done. No complaints but suggestion on observation for a 5K worth price.

its just how money is made but i still hate crucial and llm datacentres for the insane prices on memory chips, but the product itself is solid, im not sure its worth the current price 2650 for one stick of DDR3.

Just a disclaimer before I start the review, this is exclusively a product review. The seller was awesome but I have a few points to highlight about the product itself: The biggest con in my opinion is the warranty, or rather the lack of it. Cruical's website specifies a 'lifetime warranty', but when we buy this online in India, we effectively have no warranty. Crucial doesn't have any service centers here and their warranty clause specifically states that we need to work with the dealer in order to initiate any RMA process. Now, the seller states here that there is no warranty and therefore all we have is the Amazon 10 day return window. I did some research and it's a similar situation with other manufacturers. There is a chance of getting warranty if we buy Kingston RAM from their authorized dealer offline though. So I decided to extensively test the module to detect any problems within the 10 day window. 1. The product is genuine, I verified the serial numbers with the Crucial customer care. 2. The RAM had 0 data errors. This is what I expected and it was tested using memtest86. A full suit of test were run 8 times over a period of ~ 20 hours. Then an additional set of random pattern inversion tests (#5, #8, #9) were run 8 times over a period of 8 hours. No error was detected, so I think it's good.

I bought this Crucial 8GB DDR3 RAM to upgrade an older laptop that was running slow. Installation was simple, and the system recognized it right away with no issues. After upgrading, the laptop runs noticeably smoother. Programs open faster, multitasking is better, and it doesn’t freeze up like it used to. It made a bigger difference than I expected for such a simple upgrade. The RAM arrived well packaged and works exactly as described. If you have a compatible laptop and want an easy performance boost without replacing the whole machine, this is a solid choice.

Excellent in performance and very easy to install. Just follow the instructions on crutial YouTube. My laptop had 8gb RAM and was bought in 2014. It's working amazingly well with this additional RAM. Have also got their SSD to give it a better performance.
