I connected windows 10 pcs to my tv using this device. picture is very poor. is there an adjustment?

Have you hit the 720/1080 button? You might be send lower resolution.

Is this compatible with a elgato hd60 s?

If it's got an HDMI output, probably. I haven't tried it.

What channel do I use for my audio. I am having quite an issue with sound.

The audio depends on which mode you are in. You can only monitor (listen to) one channel at a time. If you are in Mode 1 (4 channels) and keep hitting the "audio" button, it will cycle through the 4 channels (sources). The 5th time all audio will off to your TV/monitor. If you are recording from your sources, none of this has any effect on the audio output that's being recorded. As long as you have an audio output through HDMI on whatever your source is, it should be recording.
