I use this pen primarily for bullet lists and journaling. My pen tendencies lean toward nylon tip art pens or fountain pens (both have their place, I just use them differently). I had used Sakura Pigma Microns in the past. While I loved the pen and its pitch black ink, I went through a LOT of them as their nylon nibs just did not hold up. I don't press very hard when I write, but the nylon would always end up pushed into the pen making it unusable far before the ink ran out. Not so with the Staedtlers. They are a little more expensive, but I am actually able to write with them until the ink runs out. The nylon nib holds up, they feel great in hand and the cap is fantastic. The ink is not quite as dark as the Sakura when viewed side-by-side, but you would never notice if you weren't comparing.
