Xero Shoes Women's X1 Mid Barefoot Basketball Shoes

I love minimalist shoes. I’ve never owned a “basketball” shoe before but I use them as tennis shoes and added a Gel insert 18 hour wear, for added comfort. The agility I have is in this shoe is unmatched. Even for walking around an amusement park all day and night while carrying and or wearing kids, my feet felt fantastic

These shoes are very similar to wrestling shoes, in the barefoot feeling. I love playing basketball in these and also lifting weight with these. They look amazing and are extremely comfortable. They don't have a lot of cushion, which is what you want for lifting weights, thus the "barefoot" design. These tie up well and go on easily as long as you loosen most of the laces. They're snug in a good way and they look stylish. They also have a wide toe box which is extremely comfortable. My favorite workout shoes, hands down. Great quality and great look.

These are comfortable, supportive basketball shoes. Knowing Xero's approach to other types of shoes, I was wondering if they would have a minimal, thin sole, but that's not the case. Of course you need some cushioning. They have a traditional sole and upper. I think the main difference between these and traditional basketball shoes is the spacious toe box and zero heel-to-toe drop. The toe box is roomy enough for the toes to spread out slightly. The zero drop feels great and they still have cushioning for landings. These shoes have decent grip and seem sturdy. They look great too... as long as you don't look down at the toes from above. At the list price, I would be a little hesitant, but at the 25% off sale price at time of writing they are definitely worth a try if you enjoy other barefoot style shoes.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to receive these super high quality Xero Shoes. They can do 5,000 miles! And they are sooooooo cool looking. They fit me perfectly. I did size up from my usual 7 1/2 to 8. Because we are in the midst of hot, humid summer days, which make me swell up. I figure in the cooler days I may wear thicker socks. And all will continue to be wonderful, wearing these shoes. These shoes were delivered right before I was due at my neighbors’ party. I laced them up and bounced along the half mile walk over. They are fun to dance in, too1 🤩

I'm not a fan of shoes in general because I believe they are destroying our natural gait which then results in other issues bad knees, hips, back etc. I have been wearing Xeroshoes for several years now because they're one of the only brands that I feel allow feet to be in their most natural state. Once I started wearing shoes that allowed my feet to spread out and not have an extremely cushioned sole my back stopped hurting. Too much cushion in a shoe is not good for us although it might feel comfortable it doesn't provide the right stability for feet I can best compare it to a mattress that is too soft and it creates back problems. These shoes seem to run true to size in most cases. I appreciate that they're almost always wide and if not wide enough I will usually go into the men's because those are naturally more wide. I always feel that these shoes look stylish but more importantly I feel that they're saving my body. I highly recommend this brand and I will wear them forever!

I’m a big fan of barefoot style shoes, I’ve used merrells and vibram and was excited to try Xero. Compared to the others, these felt clunky stiff. For barefoot shoes, the sole is thick, especially for a user like basketball. They do have good grip, I’ve used them on a wide variety of terrain and they felt secure. They’ve held up a little too well for me so far, I was hoping they’d break in a little faster, but that is a good indication of their durability. If your not quite sure if barefoot shoes are for you, these seem a good midway shoe. They look like regular basketball shoes, and feel pretty close. If you want real barefoot feel shoes though, I’d go elsewhere.

These are true to size and offer breathing room while remaining snug in place and supportive. Great traction on the basketball court. These improve my game and lessen my soreness. Very flexable and sturdy. Great quality design and style. I have also used them to do workouts very supportive and comfy. Great value.
