It is fantastic!The cover and typography throughout are subtle and gorgeous. The prompts are open-ended and not tied to a specific age or milestone, which takes the pressure off parents for filling it out without sacrificing any of what makes a baby book special.It also has spots for parents or friends to write letters to the baby, and because the pages are removable, you could send them with somebody without sending the whole book with them or asking them to write one on the spot. Artifact Uprising also offers additional pages on their website, so if you mess up any or run out of space, you have the opportunity to add more. The rings are like that of a binder and are very sturdy.It's pricy, but no more expensive than other baby books of similar design - like the one from Sugar Paper, for instance, which does not have the option for additional pages. If I remember correctly, it also comes with some free prints from Artifact Uprising so you can get started on printing out photos to put in the book.It's really great to give, too. The box it comes in is excellent for gifting and has the same sort of texture as the color of the book, and the pages inside come tightly wrapped in plastic to keep them from getting bent or torn in transit.Overall, this is a lovely gift and I plan to get one for myself whenever I have children. I think it'd be a lovely gift for new long-distance grandparents, too, to ship the pages as you fill them out to add to their own book.
