Love this jump rope - I have purchased many and will continue to do so!

Due to an injury, I decided to try a jump rope routine to replace running. Jump roping burns about the same amount of calories as running, works more muscles, is lower impact, and causes less injury (when obvious precautions are taken). When I started shopping for a jump rope I was kind of overwhelmed by all the low quality and crazy choices there were. I then remembered using a rope like this one when I was in elementary and middle school, and loving how perfect the weight felt, and the feel of the "thunk" when it hit the ground. Of the many jump ropes we had at my school, it was the best and longest lasting. When I found this rope I was really excited, and when it arrived it was everything I remembered.The downside is that it's probably on the short side for adults. I'm 5'9" and ended up untying the knots, but it works. I wouldn't recommend this rope for anyone taller than that. Also, while wrapped up in my nostalgia, I failed to realize you could probably just buy some nylon rope, cut it to length, and burn the ends to make it yourself. No regerts though :P

This rope is really good. It is for children over 5 years and will fit an adult until 5'4. I bought this for my son and wanted one for my self. The company has an adult version 9', 10'. 11' 12' which can be purchased from their website [...]Price is good and this company only does ropes, so they know what they are doing. This rope is much better than the fitness-ropes, which entangles and are too light in my opinion. This rope comes without handles and has a really good feel to it. It can be shared between two adults of different heights easily, as you simply adjust the knots in the end or hold it further down.The previous reviewer is not correct to downgrade this rope merely based on not getting the color he/she thought to see on the website.This rope is fantastic and will last a life time.

I got this to work out with because all my jump ropes with the rubber/plastic/somethinglikethat cords all broke within the first few month. I'm 5 feet seven inches and it was too small for me and ended up hitting my feet all the time, but that isn't the manufacturer's or Amazon's fault. It's pretty heavy for a jump rope, though, and I do less jumps in a minute than I would with a regular SportsAuthority jump rope. I'd suggest if you're as tall as me or taller, to get a longer and possibly lighter rope. It is, however, pretty durable and would actually probably work for utility. It's also a good toy for kids that want to start jumping rope but don't like how fast jump ropes go.

Basic quality jump rope. Rope is a good weight for kids learning to jump. Thick cord, looks to be woven with quality material and construction. I also like the colors. The ends do not have handles but can be re-knotted for different lengths. Not long enough for adults or someone over 5' 4" to jump.

It's a nice thick rope with good weight to it (it thumps when it hits the ground) for easy turning and jumping, yet won't hurt anyone if a kid accidentally gets hit with it (unlike the beaded ones or the plastic cords). I've been looking for a good ole' fashioned jump rope like the ones I remember from recess in the 80s and was starting to think no one made them anymore until I found these. I also love that there are no plastic handles at the ends to get caught up during turning. Just perfect! My kids love it.

We have purchased these for our grandkids. We have a longer one and shorter ones. They are a nice weight to turn easily. Not flimsy at all. We also love all the color choices. Great jump rope. Highly recommend.
