UPDATE: Super happy it's back in stock. Still works great 👍🏼 ---- I purchased this two times because it WORKS which made me do a happy dance! I’m a serious insomniac since a child and have tried every natural, self help remedy, routine or alternative to prescription sleep aides you can think of. I develop resistance to meds like Lunesta and they give me headaches that trigger migraines after awhile. Ambien made me hallucinate and even call my ex husband and have a 45 minute conversation I didn’t recall the next day - ugh.... total train wreck of a moment—NOT an experience I wanted to repeat - so I’ve been searching for SOMETHING more natural that WORKS...Tried this on a whim after reading about in a book. Happy to say it works! I don’t go straight to sleep like with a prescription but it does allow me to get drowsy enough to fall asleep after awhile. I experimented with taking 2,000 mg instead of the 1500mg recommendation to see if I’d sleep faster but it caused - strangely enough - the same sort of “brain zaps” that people coming off of anti depressants get. (I know this because I took anti depressants during the divorce & aftermath of being married to the cause of my train wreck of a phone call mentioned above😮) Dropped back to and have stayed with recommended 1500mg. So my advice is stick to the recommended dose and this is a great product. This is, in my opinion, a safer, less risk of side effects alternative and a good option for people trying to limit their exposure to prescriptions in general. I do wish it was still available. Amazon says it is currently unavailable and they don’t know if or when it will return. I hope it does but in the meantime I purchased a similar product with 200 capsules for $16.99. If you’re in the same spot - put the 1500mg in the search box with L-Tryptophan here on Amazon and it brings up alternatives.
