it is a very soft material but i would recommend sizing up as it sticks to your skin a bit and dosent become as high waisted as expected

Update 5/24/21** Still 5'7", now 219 lbs. Ordered the Large (so they can still fit decent when I lose more weight) and they are even more phenomenal than before. These ARE squat proof and perfect for working out. Hopefully my measurements will guide you. Do not size up or you will find yourself continuously pulling them up while working out/walking. They are high waisted to perfection and come up all the way under my boob which is great for tummy control & they reach the bottom of my ankle and don't have that weird flare some cheaper leggings give. Well worth the price for these high performance workout leggings. I place my sweat belt over it and sweat those inches off! Honestly, I love the snug fit so much I will size down to a medium when I lose 20 more lbs. Will continue to stick with these. I don't read washing instructions for these types of clothing, but I always wash my clothes in hot water and dry on the highest temperature and I have never had issue with the size afterwards. I will say you will preserve the quality by washing them inside out. Some days I didn't turn them out and when it dried it became a little pilly on the outside. All in all they are great and I will continue to purchase. Also, they make my butt look INCREDIBLE. 5’7” 240 pounds 2XL. I love these!! I was never the type of person to wear leggings as pants but these are so well made, thick and stretchy that I wear them out all the time. Whether I am working out or running errands even going to the zoo, it’s so great. I always feel comfortable because I know my underwear is not showing, and these make my huge butt look great LOL. Flattering and tasteful. Highly recommend, and for the price compared to others, you can’t go wrong. I’ve washed these once already since I got them and dried them on high (even though it’s not recommended) and they are absolutely good as when I first opened them.

These are very comfortable and fit true . Love the side pockets. Handy for your phone. They are a medium tight fit. I have 4 pair currently. Would highly recommend. I do hang dry and do Not use fabric softener when washing.

My absolute favorite leggings. I purchased XXL. These are high rise and NEVER roll down! They have the perfect amount of compression that also helps with slimming. My only complaint is length. I'm barely 5'3". I really wish they would offer these in different lengths since they are too long for me. But, I'll still continue to buy this brand over other brands because everything else about them is perfect. They are not see through at all, even when bending and squatting. They wash and dry great and hold up very well. Highly recommend!
