Decent case, as expected, fairly tight squeeze for an EATX Motherboard
I've worked in this case more than I would have preferred to, because I had to replace an EATX motherboard with an ATX motherboard--I can now affirm it's extremely ill-advised to buy a 10-year-old server motherboard on Ebay just because the idea of having two socket motherboard is exciting, only to find out it has a faulty SATA controller. Simply buying a current midrange motherboard and CPU was a drastically better idea, I really don't need ECC RAM that badly. The case fans mounted on the horizontal top bar were something non-descript, but I replaced them with Arctic fans I had lying around, I was unable to mount them when I had a dual socket motherboard but found it reasonably possible to actually make use of the additional cooling with a standard ATX motherboard.I was slightly annoyed that there are only 3-pin and not 4-pin fan headers for the temperature reader/fan speed controller on the front, but it's still a nice feature to have pre-installed; someone who knows more about such things might tell me there's a good reason for this default, but it wasn't compatible with any of my fans. The viewing angles on the display aren't that exceptional, but still a handy way to check your server isn't on fire. The case feels reasonably sturdy, having carried it around my apartment back and forth, is compatible with a variety of motherboard sizes. Motherboard hasn't shattered in the process, components all seem reasonably decent, haven't completely any screws despite taking off the top of the case way more times than I actually wanted to, but ultimately, I'm happy with it.Build notes: Noctua NH-D9L (92mm) just barely fits, keeps things reasonably cool. Motherboard is MSI SLI 270 Plus, the drive bays on the front are all ICY DOCK hardware, which I'm mostly quite satisfied with. Rearmost Noctua fans are, if memory serves, 60mm. You'll want to get all the connectors to your motherboard hooked up before your power supply is installed, the clearance is pretty narrow, you might need to get a 90 degree adapter for certain types of connections, specifically for both boards I have had installed, it was a tight fit with the header pins for the HDD LED, reset/power switch.

Server works well for my use
Wanting to save rack space with a dense server of optical drives....I purchased this server to install optical drives for ripping DVD's and BluRay's for my digital library. I have 4 DVD's, 2 BluRay, 1 HDD, and 1 SSD for O/S. I still have space for more disk drives 1 3.5 and 1 2.5.The front panel with the fan control and temp sensors doesn't come with ANY instructions. I believe I have a bad panel but there are no instruction on how to set any of this up or reset this.

I was hopeful
I bought this because the Rosewill case I wanted was no longer available. The case can work fine and be useful for the right server if the following things are considered. My Rosewill case has a TON of room for anything, this does not. The power supply covers the last 3 or 4 slots of an ATX board so unless you have a micro-ATX board, this is not ideal. The front does not have spots for fans. The air intake is limited and while it will still work, if you have a power demanding and heat generating load inside, it is not ideal. The ssd/ hdd bay in the front is difficult to access. The screws are sideways internally meaning if you fill all of the drive bay area, you will only use two screw holes to hold the bracket in place. The fan controller is nice but basic. I am planning on using this for a later date where I only use it for extra hdd bays. I am thinking that if I can power/ cable/ and mount hdds to a usb hub, and then link it to my PC, this would be a great addon, but only because my existing case is a rackmount Rosewill case, like I was hoping this would be. For an enterprise environment this case is useless. Someone made a review where they were using this as a music server/ player and I think this would work well for that. If this was used for standalone NAS for a security system, it would probably work well. The rack ears are very flimsy and will probably work but with additional support. I have plans for this case but not for fully using it the way I intended to when purchased it.

This was a perfect rack mount case for my needs
This was a perfect rack mount case for my needs. I have a NAS + hypervisor at home. The 3u size allows for 8-10 hard drive bays on the front of the case, and small enough to easily fit all the hardware in the case with good cable management while not requiring special server PSUs for my home rack.

SPACE lots of space this thing will fit 10 drives in hot swap bays 2 2.5 internal and 2 3.5 internal thats 14 drives
AWESOME quite heavy thought and the usb on the front would be nice if they were 3.0 not 2.0.
