Veken Replacement Pump For Pet Fountain Cat Water Fountain, P1

Bought this pump to replace the original (which was great!) that stopped working after a few years of constant use. Four months later, this one has stopped working. Apparently you get what you pay for, and only the pumps that come with a brand new dish are built to last. Update: After seeing this review, a rep from Veken reached out to offer a refund or replacement. Sadly, our older cat who refused to drink from anything but a fountain is no longer with us, so a replacement wasn't necessary; Veken issued the refund quickly after confirming that was the option I preferred. While the replacement product itself may be questionable, the company's customer service is great.

This replacement pump for my cats’ water fountain works great. It’s been on 24/7 since April. It’s much quieter than other models I’ve had, and cheaper too! The bright blue light helps with seeing right away if the water level is getting low before it can do damage to the pump. Overall very satisfied.

I bought this to replace the pump that came with the Kactoily stainless steel cat fountain I previously bought on Amazon since after only 7 months of use the pump failed. I love the fountain so much I didn't want to buy a new one...not too mention repeat the expense so soon after the purchas...so I decided to try pump replacement and am very happy that I did. This pump is both is both quieter and more powerful than the original and noticeably improved the fountain. The running pump absolutely noiseless to my ears (not the case with the original) and its extra power makes the fountain more interesting to the cats. Other great features: --The one I appreciate most is that the electrical cord is thicker than that of the original pump and is protected very well at the major stress point where it has to curve upward because the pump case extends a few millemeters beyond the point where the cord exits the pump body. This was the point of failure for the original pump. --There's a button switch on the cord so that the blue light can be turned off. I leave mine on all the time but I know from reading loads of reviews that many people may appreciate this feature. --It's sturdily constructed and very easy to clean. Note that I have to use a pair of tweezers to remove the impeller because it fits so well that it can't just be shaken loose, something I appreciate. --It easily handles 95oz of water. --The suction cups are surprisingly strong for their size. --Comes with a cleaning brush. I know the pump description states that it can only be used with Veken fountains, but by minimally shortening the separate water stem extension tube from the Kactoily fountain, the pump works perfectly with it, has noticeably improved the fountain and saved me from having to buy a whole new fountain when the only problem was the pump.

I bought this water fountain on June 23, 2026 and it is now July 18, 2026 and it has stopped working. It didn’t even last a month. It worked fine when I got it. My only complaint was that it was loud. Not the motor itself but the water splashing. Now the pressure is so low that the water doesn’t reach the top of the fountain. I had recently cleaned it and unplugged it from the USB adapter and plugged it back in per recommendation. The original water pump lasted 3 years. It is still within the return window but I don’t have the box or if it came with instructions, I don’t have that anymore either. I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle of returning it. So, I’m really disappointed because my cats love the fountain and don’t like water in a bowl. When I clean the fountain they sit where it is placed and waits there until I set it all back up again.

It was the exact same that came with the water fountain, and lasted over two years. New one excellent water flow .

I bought the Veken 95oz pet water fountain and within 3 months the pump that came with it died. I had kept it clean and followed all instructions so I was a little upset it didn't last that long. My cats loved this fountain and I did too when it was working well, but the pump left much to be desired. I bought 2 of these replacement pumps so my cats wouldn't be left without their fountain again, because they really loved it, but both pumps have died on me again! It isn't my water, I have a conditioner and filters on my main line so it has to be something else. *****Update***** Veken reached out to me and refunded me for both of the pumps and is sending me a new one for free. I commend their excellent customer service and I really hope that the pumps not performing well and dying was a fluke or a bad batch of pumps. I can say my cats really love this fountain and if the pump performs as expected then it's a highly recommended fountain for your pets! One thing I will add is that you need to make sure to clean your pumps at least once every two weeks, more if you have hard water or well water. Also, I did not notice this at first, but I somehow lost an o-ring that helped "seal" the water path from the pump to the "flower" fountain. This has allowed air to get into the system and makes the flow trickle instead of being steady. Overall this fountain being stainless and easy to clean makes it my #1 go to.

Good replacement after I broke the old one while cleaning it.

So far (fingers crossed) this pump is working fabulously! I purchased the pet waterer last July and the first pump only lasted a few months. I replaced it with a pump I purchased and it also only lasted a few months. We will see how long this pump lasts. I will say this, it is much quieter than the previous two pumps.

Works well. I liked the light and pump on/off toggle. Fits the water dish i had already as stated.

Great replacement much more powerful than the original one.

The replacement pump lasted one week maximum, after which it stopped working. We will not buy from Veken again, and I would recommend going for other companies.
