One size bigger would have been better...
The fit is a little tight... I could've ordered the XXL. It's extremely lightweight and I didn't expect that. The jacket does seem to be waterproof though. It's a good jacket for early fall weather but I'll have to get something else for the upcoming winter weather.

Lots of pockets, good quality for the money
If you like loose fitting, then I'd go up a size. Hubby could still fit a sweatshirt underneath, though, but there's not much room to spare. It's a snug fitting jacket. He likes all the pockets and it seems decent quality for the money. Haven't tried on the trail or in rain, yet, so my water resistance rating is 5 for now.
