Hape Alphabet Blocks Wooden Learning Puzzle

I purchased this alphabet puzzle for my 3 yr old grandson. Not only are the letters sturdy and colorful, but they lend themselves to have extended play value. Often they have ended up in his toy garbage truck and carted all through the house. We like to help him find the letters of his name. This is better than one dimensional color pages of the alphabet.

Bought this for my sons first birthday, by 20 months he was able to tell me most of the letters, the ones he couldn’t say he was able to point out and knew where they all went on the puzzle. He didn’t show a ton of interest in it at first, but once he did it became one of his favorite puzzles to play with. The puzzle board has taken a beating and has been thrown down steps, stepped on, and whatever else a puzzle can withstand and it’s still in great shape. No cracks or bending after almost a year. Some of the letters have little chips, which I think is more than expected by this point but there’s no splintering. Highly recommend

I especially like the size of the puzzle. It can be used as a table activity with a child. Size of the letters is great for little hands. Beautiful wood and finish. Very pleased.

I like that It’s basic with no pictures. Nice sized letters and nice colors. Wish the wood was a bot heavier/denser, bit I like this price point.

Helped a 18 month old learn all the alphabet pretty quickly. Pieces are sturdy and large enough to not be a worry

We bought this puzzle in February ’20 for our high functioning autistic 4-year-old to help him learn his letters. The puzzle is incredibly sturdy and well made. It took our son a month of at-home preschool before he was singing the alphabet and pointing out letters correctly.My only complaint is that Hape doesn’t make a lowercase version. Other alphabet puzzles on Amazon just don’t compare to the quality of this one. To put it another way, as a former preschool teacher I can say that this puzzle would hold up for years in a toddler room at a daycare.

My toddler adores these. Every morning he brings me the "M for Mama."
